Abstract

The magnetization process of the S=1/2 delta chain with the anisotropic ferromagnetic interaction is investigated using the numerical diagonalization of finite-size clusters. It is found that the spin nematic liquid phase appears in higher magnetization region, as well as the SDW liquid one in lower region.

Report

The paper deals with the magnetization process of the S = 1=2 delta chain with the anisotropic ferromagnetic interaction. The authors found the spin nematic liquid phase in magnetic field in the model without the spin frustrations, or the biquadratic interaction by using the numerical diagonalization method of finite-size clusters. Their observation can be important for realizing the anomalous features of nematic liquid state. What the authors found seems new results and may be interesting and important topics in the fields. Thus, I think that the paper meets the criteria of the journal, and I can recommend the publication.
