It is an honour to announce that the French National Fund for Open Science (FNSO) has selected SciPost as one of the projects they will support in their first round of funding. This subsidy will help us with our expansion plans by covering the costs of approximately 100 publications across our different journals. The objective of the project is to further stimulate the involvement of France’s scientific community in our initiative, thereby consolidating France’s vibrant open science landscape.

Happy new year!!

14 January 2021

We have started 2021 and we wish everyone the best for coming year. The new year is a time to look back at 2020 and the accomplishments of our journals. We are proud to see that our flagship journal, SciPost Physics, is now recognised as a leading journal in general physics, with an Impact Factor of 5.051. The journal has also grown, with 173 published papers in 2020.

And we publish other journals in physics too. SciPost Physics Core published 27 papers. SciPost Physics Lecture Notes publishes short review papers that serve as excellent introduction to a research area and 9 such contributions appeared in 2020, some of them associated with the Les Houches Summer School. We also published 57 papers in SciPost Physics Proceedings, mostly based on papers presented at the 24th European Few Body Conference (University of Surrey, U.K.)

2020 also saw the launch of SciPost Astronomy and publication of its first paper. We are now in the process of compiling an Editorial College (Astronomy) to further develop this new journal.

We are excited to see that our open science initiative is developing nicely. We want to thank all authors, referees, fellows and sponsors for working with us!
