SciPost Physics awarded the DOAJ Seal

25 August 2017

We are delighted to announce that the Directory of Open Access Journals has awarded SciPost Physics the DOAJ Seal, which is a mark of certification for open access journals that achieve a high level of openness, adhere to Best Practice and high publishing standards.

This Seal certifies that SciPost Physics complies with a number of conditions including:

  • permanent archival arrangement in CLOCKSS

  • permanent DOI identifiers registered at Crossref for all published content

  • article-level metadata deposited at DOAJ

  • embedded machine-readable CC licensing information in article-level metadata

  • reuse and mixing of content allowed in accordance to Creative Commons licenses

  • authors allowed to hold copyright without restriction

As an additional service, SciPost also takes care of linking all funding information provided by authors to the funders registered in the FundRef registry (with metadata deposited through Crossmark), enabling funders to easily assess where and by whom their funds are being put to efficient use.

The Seal provides recognition that SciPost Physics meets and even surpasses the standards applied in many commonly-used journals. Do your habitual publication venues live up to such high expectations? If not, consider switching to SciPost!
