SciPost joins the Initiative for Open Citations

As part of its commitment to transforming scientific publishing in all its facets, SciPost is proud to join and support the Initiative for Open Citations (I4OC), which is a collaboration between scholarly publishers, researchers, and other interested parties to promote the unrestricted availability of scholarly citation data.

The idea is simple but powerful: through Crossref, citation metadata of participating publishers is made publicly available, and its reuse authorized. This opens the door to the development of a new generation of metrics engines and metadata aggregators with the potential to modernize the way impact evaluation is performed.
