Abstract

We propose a simple algorithm to compute the generalized Komar charge of any exactly gauge- and diffeomorphism-invariant theory.

List of changes

  • We extended the discussion between equations (4) and (6) of the V1. Eq. (6) of V1 is labeled as Eq. (9) in V2.

Report

In this paper we find a complete and elegant construction of generalized Komar charges (more precisely, charge density (d-2)-forms) in gauge- and diffeo-invariant theories. Attention has been paid to the subtle difference between the Komar and Noether charges, and the result has been illustrated with a brief derivation of the Komar charge, including both electric and magnetic contributions, in Einstein-Maxwell theory in any dimension. I have checked the latest version (arXiv V2) for correctness and recommend this work for publication.
