Abstract:
The thesis considers various entanglement detection methods in qudit registers and also in cold atomic ensembles. Concerning quantum registers, it describes the detection of genuine multipartite entanglement close to Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) states, cluster states, graph states and Dicke states. It also considers detecting entanglement with energy measurements, and with two-setting Bell inequalities for graph states. It describes permutationally invariant tomography. Concerning large particle ensembles, the thesis discusses entanglement detection with collective observables using the optimal spin squeezing inequalities. It also describes the detection of multiparticle entanglement with the quantum Fisher information.
