• Mixed QCD-electroweak corrections to $Z$ and $W$ boson production and their impact on the $W$ mass measurements at the LHC

  We report on recently computed mixed QCD-electroweak corrections to on-shell $W$ and $Z$ boson production. We use these differential predictions to estimate their impact on the $W$ boson mass determination at the LHC.

• Double Virtual Contributions for Massless 2 -> 3 Scattering in NNLO QCD

  We review the recent advances in the calculation of two-loop QCD corrections for massless five-point scattering that paved the way for their broad phenomenological applications in calculation of NNLO QCD predictions. We first discuss the construction of a transcendental function basis which facilitates derivation of compact analytic representations for two-loop amplitudes and enables their fast and stable numerical evaluation over physical phase space. We then present the recent calculations of the leading-color two-loop corrections for hadroproduction of three photons and three jets.

• Master integrals contributing to two-loop leading colour QCD helicity amplitudes for top-quark pair production in the gluon fusion channel

  We discuss the analytic structure of the master integrals relevant for computing the com- plete set of leading-colour analytic helicity amplitudes for top-quark pair production via gluon fusion at two loops in QCD. This includes corrections due to massive fermion loops which give rise to integrals involving elliptic curves. We also elaborate on the structure of singularities that play an important role in the numerical evaluation of the iterated integrals and their analytic continuation.

• Some rigorous results on symmetry breakings in gauge QFT

  The extraordinary success of the Standard Model asks for a more rigorous control beyond the perturbative approach, which is affected by mathematical problems (interaction picture and canonical quantization, non-covergence of the perturbative series, triviality results for $\phi^4$ model and related models, etc.). We shall briefly discuss some non-perturbative results concerning the crucial role and realization of symmetry breakings in the Standard Model.

• Applying machine learning methods to prediction problems of lattice observables

  We discuss the prediction of critical behavior of lattice observables in SU(2) and SU(3) gauge theories. We show that feed-forward neural network, trained on the lattice configurations of gauge fields as input data, finds correlations with the target observable, which is also true in the critical region where the neural network has not been trained. We have verified that the neural network constructs a gauge-invariant function and this property does not change over the entire range of the parameter space.

• Predictions for neutron stars from holographic nuclear matter

  We discuss masses, radii, and tidal deformabilities of neutron stars constructed from the holographic Witten-Sakai-Sugimoto model. Using the same model for crust and core of the star, we combine our theoretical results with the latest astrophysical data, thus deriving more stringent constraints than given by the data alone. For instance, our calculation predicts - independent of the model parameters - an upper limit for the maximal mass of the star of about 2.46 solar masses and a lower limit of the (dimensionless) tidal deformability of a 1.4-solar-mass star of about 277.

• Studying mass generation for gluons

  In covariant gauges, the gluonic mass gap in Yang-Mills theory manifests itself in the basic observation that the massless pole in the perturbative gluon propagator disappears in nonperturbative calculations, but the origin of this behavior is not yet fully understood. We summarize a recent study of the respective dynamics with Dyson-Schwinger equations in Landau-gauge Yang-Mills theory. We identify the parameter that distinguishes the massive Yang-Mills regime from the massless decoupling solutions, whose endpoint is the scaling solution. Similar to the PT-BFM scheme, we find evidence that mass generation in the transverse sector is triggered by longitudinal massless poles.

• Rigorous reconstruction of gluon propagator in the presence of complex singularities

  It has been suggested that the Landau-gauge gluon propagator has complex singularities, which invalidates the K\"all\'en-Lehmann spectral representation. Since such singularities are beyond the standard formalism of quantum field theory, the reconstruction of Minkowski propagators from Euclidean propagators has to be carefully examined for their interpretation. In this talk, we present rigorous results on this reconstruction in the presence of complex singularities. As a result, the analytically continued Wightman function is holomorphic in the usual tube, and the Lorentz symmetry and locality are kept valid. On the other hand, the Wightman function on the Minkowski spacetime is a non-tempered distribution and violates the positivity condition. Finally, we discuss an interpretation and implications of complex singularities in quantum theories, arguing that complex singularities correspond to zero-norm confined states.

• Chiralspin symmetry and confinement

  Interesting lattice QCD simulations at high temperature in QCD and particular truncated studies have shown the emergence of an unexpected group symmetry, so called \textit{chiralspin}. However this is not a symmetry of the QCD action for free quarks, which makes unclear the transition to deconfinement at high temperature in QCD. Therefore we try to redefine this group so that is a symmetry of free quark action and it is consistent with the presence of deconfinement in QCD.

• Chiral symmetry restoration with three chiral partners

  I discuss the masses of chiral partners in the context of chiral symmetry restoration at finite temperature. Using the Nambu–Jona-Lasinio model I first remind the usual situation where two mesons of opposed parity become degenerate above the chiral transition temperature. Then I consider an effective theory for D mesons where the positive parity companion presents a “double pole structure”. In this case three different masses need to be analyzed as functions of the temperature. I suggest a possible restoration pattern at high temperatures when the back-reaction of the quark condensate is incorporated.
