• An infalling observer and behind the horizon cutoff

  Using Papadodimas and Raju construction of operators describing the interior of a black hole, we present a general relation between partition functions of operators describing inside and outside the black hole horizon. In particular for an eternal black hole the partition function of the interior modes may be given in terms those partition functions associated with the modes of left and right exteriors. By making use of this relation we observe that setting a finite UV cutoff will enforce us to have a cutoff behind the horizon whose value is fixed by the UV cutoff. The resultant cutoff is in agreement with what obtained in the context of holographic complexity.

  HarmonicBalance.jl is a publicly available Julia package designed to simplify and solve systems of periodic time-dependent nonlinear ordinary differential equations. Time dependence of the system parameters is treated with the harmonic balance method, which approximates the system's behaviour as a set of harmonic terms with slowly-varying amplitudes. Under this approximation, the set of all possible steady-state responses follows from the solution of a polynomial system. In HarmonicBalance.jl, we combine harmonic balance with contemporary implementations of symbolic algebra and the homotopy continuation method to numerically determine all steady-state solutions and their associated fluctuation dynamics. For the exploration of involved steady-state topologies, we provide a simple graphical user interface, allowing for arbitrary solution observables and phase diagrams. HarmonicBalance.jl is a free software available at https://github.com/NonlinearOscillations/HarmonicBalance.jl.

  Tensor contractions are ubiquitous in computational chemistry and physics, where tensors generally represent states or operators and contractions express the algebra of these quantities. In this context, the states and operators often preserve physical conservation laws, which are manifested as group symmetries in the tensors. These group symmetries imply that each tensor has block sparsity and can be stored in a reduced form. For nontrivial contractions, the memory footprint and cost are lowered, respectively, by a linear and a quadratic factor in the number of symmetry sectors. State-of-the-art tensor contraction software libraries exploit this opportunity by iterating over blocks or using general block-sparse tensor representations. Both approaches entail overhead in performance and code complexity. With intuition aided by tensor diagrams, we present a technique, irreducible representation alignment, which enables efficient handling of Abelian group symmetries via only dense tensors, by using contraction-specific reduced forms. This technique yields a general algorithm for arbitrary group symmetric contractions, which we implement in Python and apply to a variety of representative contractions from quantum chemistry and tensor network methods. As a consequence of relying on only dense tensor contractions, we can easily make use of efficient batched matrix multiplication via Intel's MKL and distributed tensor contraction via the Cyclops library, achieving good efficiency and parallel scalability on up to 4096 Knights Landing cores of a supercomputer.

  We introduce the code kolya, an open-source tool for phenomenological analyses of inclusive semileptonic $B\to X_c l\bar \nu_l$ decays. It contains a library to compute predictions for the total rate and various kinematic moments within the framework of the heavy quark expansion, utilizing the so-called kinetic scheme. The library currently includes power corrections up to $1/m_b^5$. All available QCD perturbative corrections are implemented via interpolation grids for fast numerical evaluation. We also include effects from new physics parameterized as Wilson coefficients of dimension-six operators in the weak effective theory below the electroweak scale. The library is interfaced to CRunDec for easy evaluation of the quark masses and strong coupling constant at different renormalization scales. The library is developed in Python and does not require compilation. The code is flexible and can be extended to other kinds of inclusive decays such as $B$ meson lifetimes, $B \to X_u l\bar \nu_l$ and $D$ meson decays.

• Spin-lattice couplings and effect of displacements on magnetic interactions of a skyrmion system PdFe/Ir(111)

  PdFe/Ir(111) has attracted tremendous attention for next-generation spintronics devices due to existence of magnetic skyrmions with the external magnetic field. Our density functional theoretical calculations in combination with spin dynamics simulation suggest that the spin spiral phase in fcc stacked PdFe/Ir(111) flips into the skyrmion lattice phase around B$_{ext} \sim$ 6 T. This leads to the microscopic understanding of the thermodynamic and kinetic behaviours affected by the intrinsic spin-lattice couplings (SLCs) in this skyrmion material for magneto-mechanical properties. Here we calculate fully relativistic SLC parameters from first principle computations and investigate the effect of SLC on dynamical magnetic interactions in skyrmion multilayers PdFe/Ir(111). The exchange interactions arising from next nearest-neighbors (NN) in this material are highly frustrated and responsible for enhancing skyrmion stability. We report the larger spin-lattice effect on both dynamical Heisenberg exchanges and Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interactions for next NN compared to NN which is in contrast with recently observed spin-lattice effect in bulk bcc Fe and CrI$_3$ monolayer. Based on our analysis, we find that the effective measures of SLCs in fcc (hcp) stacking of PdFe/Ir(111) are $\sim 2.71 ( \sim 2.36)$ and $\sim 14.71 ( \sim21.89)$ times stronger for NN and next NN respectively, compared to bcc Fe. The linear regime of displacement for SLC parameters is $≤$ 0.02 Å which is 0.72% of the lattice constant for PdFe/Ir(111). The microscopic understanding of SLCs provided by our current study could help in designing spintronic devices based on thermodynamic properties of skyrmion multilayers.

• Entanglement, partial set of measurements, and diagonality of the density matrix in the parton model

  To study quantum properties of the hadron wavefunction at small x, we derived the reduced density matrix for soft gluons in the CGC framework. We explicitly showed that the reduced density matrix is not diagonal in the particle number basis. The off-diagonal components are usually ignored in the conventional parton model. We thus defined the density matrix of ignorance by keeping only the part of the reduced density matrix which can be probed in a limited set of experimental measurements. We calculated Von Neumann entropy for both the reduced and ignorance density matrices. The entropy of ignorance is always greater than the entanglement entropy (computed drom the reduced density matrix) of gluons. Finally, we showed that the CGC reduced density matrix for soft gluons can be diagonalized in a thermal basis with Boltzmann weights suggesting thermalization of new quasi-particle states which we dubbed entangolons.

• NNLO EW⊗QCD corrections to on-shell Z production

  In this proceeding, we outline the computational details and present the results for NNLO mixed EW⊗QCD corrections to on-shell production of Z boson at the LHC. We use the method of differential equation to obtain all the master integrals analytically, appearing in virtual and real-emission contributions. These results increase the accuracy of the predictions and contribute to reduce the theoretical uncertainties.
