• Searches for new physics in collision events using a statistical technique for anomaly detection

  This paper discusses a statistical anomaly-detection method for model-independent searches for new physics in collision events produced at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The method requires calculations of Z-scores for a large number of Lorenz-invariant variables to identify events that deviate from those expected for the Standard Model (SM).

• The Giant Radio Array for Neutrino Detection (GRAND) Project

  GRAND is designed to detect ultra-high-energy cosmic particles -- specially neutrinos, cosmic rays and gamma rays using radio antennas. With $\sim$20 mountainous sites around the world it will cover a total area of 200,000 km$^{2}$. The planned sensitivity of 10$^{-10}$ GeV cm$^{-2}$ s$^{-1}$ sr$^{-1}$ above $5\times10^{17}$ eV will likely ensure the detection of cosmogenic neutrinos predicted by most common scenarios enabling neutrino astronomy. Furthermore, PeV--EeV neutrinos can test particle interactions at energies above those achieved in accelerators. The pathfinder stage GRANDProto300 is planned to start taking data in 2021. We present the current overall status of the project with emphasis on the neutrino physics.

• Development of the detectors for the DeeMe experiment

  In the DeeMe experiment, approximately $70\ \mathrm{GHz/mm^{2}}$ prompt-charged particles will hit the multi-wire proportional chambers (MWPCs) before signal electrons come. To avoid the space charge effect, we developed fast HV-switching MWPCs in order to control the gas gain dynamically. All four of the MWPCs were manufactured. Last year, the circuit of readout amplifiers is slightly modified to further improve the efficiency of the detector, and we also started to investigate other possible choices of the gas mixture. In this article, the development of the detectors and results of performance tests will be presented.

• TMD observables in unpolarised Semi-Inclusive DIS at COMPASS

  In 2016 and 2017, the COMPASS Collaboration at CERN collected a large sample of DIS events with a longitudinally polarised 160 GeV/$c$ muon beam scattering off a liquid hydrogen target. Part of the collected data has been analysed to extract preliminary results for the amplitudes of the modulations in the azimuthal angle of the charged hadrons and for their transverse-momentum distributions. These observables give relevant information for the study of the transverse momentum and spin structure of the nucleon. Similarly to the results obtained in COMPASS with a deuteron target, the azimuthal asymmetries exhibit interesting kinematic dependences, while the squared-transverse-momentum distributions can be described by two exponentials.

• Search for lepton flavour violation with the ATLAS experiment

  Lepton flavour violation (LFV) is a striking signature of potential beyond the Standard Model physics. The search for LFV with the ATLAS detector is reported in searches focusing on the decay of the Higgs boson, the Z boson and of a heavy neutral gauge boson, Z', using pp collisions data with a center of mass energy of 8 TeV and 13 TeV.

• Structure Functions and Parton Densities: a Session Summary

  Studies of fragmentation and parton density functions are a core component of researchin high energy particle and nuclear physics. These quantities are inherently interestingas a probe of the quantum nature of the strong force and are also essential ingredients toadditional studies in high energy scattering experiments. These proceedings provide anoverview of the state of the art in this area, as presented at the Deep-Inelastic ScatteringConference in the Spring of 2021.

• Identifying hadronic charmonium decays in hadron colliders

  Identification of charmonium states at hadron colliders has mostly been limited to leptonic decays of the J/{\psi}. In this paper we present and algorithm to identify hadronic decays of charmonium states (J/{\psi}, {\psi}(2S), \chi_{c0,1,2}) which make up the large majority of all decays. The algorithm is able to identify hadronic $J/\psi$ decays with an efficiency of 36\% while suppressing a background of quark and gluon jets by a factor 100.

• Multidimensional, high precision beam spin asymmetry measurements of semi-inclusive pion production off the proton with CLAS12

  High precision measurements of the polarized electron beam-spin asymmetry in SIDIS from the proton have been performed using a 10.6 GeV incident electron beam and the CLAS12 spectrometer at Jefferson Lab. The proceeding reports a multidimensional study of the structure function ratio $F^{sin\phi}_{LU}/F_{UU}$ extracted from single pion ($\pi^{+}$, $\pi^{-}$, $\pi^{0}$) SIDIS data over a large kinematic range in $z$, $x_{B}$, $P_{T}$ and virtualities $Q^{2}$ ranging from 1~GeV$^2$ up to 7~GeV$^2$. $F^{sin\phi}_{LU}$ is a twist-3 quantity that can reveal novel properties of quark-gluon correlations within the nucleon.
