• Longitudinal and Transverse Spin Transfer of $Λ$ and $\overlineΛ$ Hyperons in Polarized $p$+$p$ Collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 200$ GeV at RHIC-STAR

  Measurements of the longitudinal spin transfer, $D_{LL}$, and the transverse spin transfer, $D_{TT}$, of the $\Lambda(\bar{\Lambda}$) hyperon in polarized $p$+$p$ collisions are expected to be sensitive to the helicity distribution and transversity distribution of the $s(\bar{s})$ quark in proton and the corresponding polarized fragmentation functions. This contribution presents the new preliminary results of the $\Lambda(\bar{\Lambda}$) $D_{LL}$ and $D_{TT}$ using data collected at RHIC-STAR experiment in 2015, with twice larger statistics than previously published results.

• The parastatistics of braided Majorana fermions

  This paper presents the parastatistics of braided Majorana fermions obtained in the framework of a graded Hopf algebra endowed with a braided tensor product. The braiding property is encoded in a t-dependent 4×4 braiding matrix $B_t$ related to the Alexander-Conway polynomial. The nonvanishing complex parameter t defines the braided parastatistics. At t=1 ordinary fermions are recovered. The values of t at roots of unity are organized into levels which specify the maximal number of braided Majorana fermions in a multiparticle sector. Generic values of t and the t=-1 root of unity mimick the behaviour of ordinary bosons.

• A functional-analysis derivation of the parquet equation

  The parquet equation is an exact field-theoretic equation known since the 60s that underlies numerous approximations to solve strongly correlated Fermion systems. Its derivation previously relied on combinatorial arguments classifying all diagrams of the two-particle Green's function in terms of their (ir)reducibility properties. In this work we provide a derivation of the parquet equation solely employing techniques of functional analysis namely functional Legendre transformations and functional derivatives. The advantage of a derivation in terms of a straightforward calculation is twofold: (i) the quantities appearing in the calculation have a clear mathematical definition and interpretation as derivatives of the Luttinger-Ward functional; (ii) analogous calculations to the ones that lead to the parquet equation may be performed for higher-order Green's functions potentially leading to a classification of these in terms of their (ir)reducible components.

  We present the results for the Energy-Momentum Tensor (EMT) form factor D(t) at oneloop accuracy in quantum electrodynamics for an electron state. We report the the results in the case of both zero and nonzero photon mass. Moreover, individual electron and photon contributions to the EMT are investigated.

• Recent results on top quark mass and properties and rare/anomalous top quarks interactions in CMS

  The amount of data collected by the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC in the second data taking period provides the possibility to study absolute and differential cross sections of top quark interaction processes with high precision. Utilizing these results, fundamental standard model parameters such as the top quark mass are extracted. Moreover, given standard model measurements are interpreted in the context of Beyond the standard model theories. Recent results on top quark properties and rare or anomalous top quark interactions by CMS are presented in these proceedings. Furthermore, the implications of experimental results to effective field theory are discussed.

• Dynamics of polar-core spin vortices in inhomogeneous spin-1 Bose-Einstein condensates

  In the easy-plane phase, a ferromagnetic spin-1 Bose-Einstein condensate is magnetized in a plane transverse to the applied Zeeman field. This phase supports polar-core spin vortices (PCVs), which consist of phase windings of transverse magnetization. Here we show that spin-changing collisions cause a PCV to accelerate down density gradients in an inhomogeneous condensate. The dynamics is well-described by a simplified model adapted from scalar systems, which predicts the dependence of the dynamics on trap tightness and quadratic Zeeman energy. In a harmonic trap, a PCV accelerates radially to the condensate boundary, in stark contrast to the azimuthal motion of vortices in a scalar condensate. In a trap that has a local potential maximum at the centre, the PCV exhibits oscillations around the trap centre, which persist for a remarkably long time. The oscillations coincide with the emission and reabsorption of axial spin waves, which reflect off the condensate boundary.

• Measurement of the $t\bar{t}t\bar{t}$ production at 13 TeV with the ATLAS detector at the LHC

  Two measurements and their combination for the $t\bar{t}t\bar{t}$ production cross-section analysis using 139 fb$^{-1}$ of proton$-$proton collision data at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC are presented. The first analysis uses the final states with either one or two opposite-sign leptons (electrons or muons). In the second analysis the final states with either two same-sign or at least three leptons are considered. With an observed (expected) significance of 4.3 (2.4) standard deviations over the background-only hypothesis, the second analysis provides the first evidence for the $t\bar{t}t\bar{t}$ process. No significant deviations from the Standard Model are observed.

• THz higher-order topological photonics in Ge-on-Si heterostructures

  We design germanium-based higher-order topological cavities for terahertz applications by breaking the symmetry of a two-dimensional photonic crystal following the Su-Schrieffer-Heeger model. Calculations demonstrate the parity inversion of the electric field in differently deformed unit cells. The interface between domains of opposite topology presents edge and corner modes. The former are chiral, locking light propagation to its helicity. The latter prove that Ge-based structures can be used as high-order topological photonic crystals. These findings can accelerate the development of Si-photonic components working in a spectral range of high technological interest.

• Josephson effect in strongly disordered metallic wires

  We study localization effects in Josephson junctions with two superconductors connected by a strongly disordered metallic wire of length $L$. The conventional description of the Josephson effect in such systems, based on the quasiclassical Usadel equation, neglects electron interference and is only applicable when $L$ is shorter than the localization length $\xi$ in the wire. We develop a more general theory for the Josephson effect using the non-linear sigma model that fully accounts for electron interference, and hence localization. We show that for $L \gg \xi$, three qualitatively different regimes of the Josephson current arise depending on the ratio of the superconducting order parameter $\Delta$ and the mean level spacing in the localization volume $\Delta_\xi$. We derive the average supercurrent as a function of the phase difference for all three regimes. Quite unexpectedly, we observe that the Ambegaokar-Baratoff relation between the average critical current and the normal-state conductance still holds in the strongly localized state when $\Delta_\xi \gg \Delta$ and $\xi \ll L \ll (\xi/\pi^2) \ln^2(\Delta_\xi/\Delta)$.

• Experimental input from $e^+e^-$ for $a_{\mu}$ light-by-light

  The anomalous magnetic momentum of the muon, $a_{\mu}$, has been measured and calculated with a precision up to $~0.5$ ppm, but there is a 3 to 4 standard deviations between these two values. The uncertainty in the calculation is dominated by the hadronic part, including the hadronic vacuum polarization and the hadronic light-by-light. The meson transition form factors and the helicity amplitudes can be used as input or constraint to the calculation of the hadronic light-by-light contribution. Latest experimental studies of the transition form factors of $\pi^0$, $\eta$, and $\eta^{*}$ and the cross-section of $\gamma\gamma^*\to\pi^+\pi-$from $e^+e^-$ collider are presented.
