• ATLAS results on exotic hadronic resonances

  Recent results from the proton-proton collision data taken by the ATLAS experiment on exotic resonances are presented. A search for $J/\psi p$ resonances in $\Lambda_{b}→ J/\psi p K$ decays with large $p K$ invariant masses is reported. A search for exotic resonances in the four-muon final state is shown.

• Phenomenological study on correlation between flow harmonics and mean transverse momentum in nuclear collisions

  To assess the properties of the quark-gluon plasma formed in nuclear collisions, the Pearson correlation coefficient between flow harmonics and mean transverse momentum, $\rho\left(v_{n}^{2},\left[p_{\mathrm{T}}\right]\right)$, reflecting the overlapped geometry of colliding atomic nuclei, is measured. $\rho\left(v_{2}^{2},\left[p_{\mathrm{T}}\right]\right)$ was found to be particularly sensitive to the quadrupole deformation of the nuclei. We study the influence of the nuclear quadrupole deformation on $\rho\left(v_{n}^{2},\left[p_{\mathrm{T}}\right]\right)$ in $\rm{Au+Au}$ and $\rm{U+U}$ collisions at RHIC energy using $\rm{AMPT}$ transport model, and show that the $\rho\left(v_{2}^{2},\left[p_{\mathrm{T}}\right]\right)$ is reduced by the prolate deformation $\beta_2$ and turns to change sign in ultra-central collisions (UCC).

• Comparison of $pp$ and $p \bar{p}$ differential elastic cross sections and observation of the exchange of a colorless $C$-odd gluonic compound

  We describe the discovery of the colorless $C$-odd gluonic compound, the odderon, by the D0 and TOTEM Collaborations by comparing elastic differential cross sections in $pp$ and $p \bar{p}$ interactions at high energies.

• Spontaneous breaking of finite group symmetries at all temperatures

  We study conformal field theories with finite group symmetries with spontaneous symmetry breaking (SSB) phases which persist at all temperatures. We work with two $\lambda \phi^4$ theories coupled through their mass terms. The two $\lambda \phi^4$ theories are chosen to preserve either the cubic symmetry group, or the tetrahedral symmetry group. A one-loop calculation in the $4-\epsilon$ expansion shows that there exist infinitely many fixed points that can host an all temperature SSB phase. An analysis of the renormalization group (RG) stability matrix of these fixed points, reveals that their spectrum contains at least three relevant operators. In other words, these fixed points are tetracritical points.

• Search for lepton-flavour-violating decays of the $Z$ boson into a $\tau$-lepton and a light lepton with the ATLAS detector

  Lepton flavour violation in the charged lepton sector is an unambiguous signal of physics beyond the Standard Model. Searches for lepton flavour violation in decays of the $Z$ boson with the ATLAS detector is reported, focusing on decays into an electron or muon and a hadronically decaying $\tau$-lepton, using $pp$ collisions data with a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. Upper limits on the branching ratios of lepton-flavor-violating decays are set at the 95\% confidence level: $\mathcal{B}(Z\to e\tau) < 5.8\times10^{-5}$ and $\mathcal{B}(Z\to \mu\tau) < 2.4\times10^{-5}$. When combined with a previous ATLAS result based on $pp$ collisions data with a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV, an upper limit of $\mathcal{B}(Z\to \mu\tau) < 1.3\times10^{-5}$ is obtained.

• Intermittency analysis of charged hadrons generated in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$= 2.76 TeV and 5.02 TeV

  Local density fluctuations are expected to scale as a universal power-law when the system approaches critical point. Such power-law fluctuations are studied within the framework of intermittency through the measurement of normalized factorial moments in ($\eta$, $\phi$) phase space. Observations and results from the intermittency analysis performed for charged particles in Pb-Pb collisions using PYTHIA8/Angantyr at 2.76 TeV and 5.02 TeV are reported. We observe no scaling behaviour in the particle generation for any of the centrality studied in narrow p$_T$ bins. The scaling exponent $\nu$ shows no dependence on the centrality ranges.

• Recent results from reactor antineutrino experiments

  The smallest neutrino mixing angle $\theta_{13}$ has been successfully measured by the disappearance of reactor antineutrinos at RENO, Daya Bay, and Double Chooz. The oscillation frequency is also measured based on energy and baseline dependent disappearance probability of reactor antineutrinos. Recent results fi nd a variation in the observed reactor antineutrino flux as a function of the reactor fuel evolution. We report more precisely measured values of $\theta_{13}$ and $\Delta m^2_{ee}$ and results on the evolution of observed reactor antineutrino yield and spectrum.

• Photon TMDs from uPDFevolv

  We present photon TMDs generated using the Parton Branching Method with QED evolution. We discuss the TMD’s properties and compare it to the gluon TMD. Two sets of TMDs differing in their initial evolution scale and the choice of the renormalisation scale are defined and compared to each other.

• Growth of the Wang-Casati-Prosen counter in an integrable billiard

  This work is motivated by an article by Wang, Casati, and Prosen [Phys. Rev. E vol. 89, 042918 (2014)] devoted to a study of ergodicity in two-dimensional irrational right-triangular billiards. Numerical results presented there suggest that these billiards are generally not ergodic. However, they become ergodic when the billiard angle is equal to $\pi/2$ times a Liouvillian irrational, morally a class of irrational numbers which are well approximated by rationals. In particular, Wang et al. study a special integer counter that reflects the irrational contribution to the velocity orientation; they conjecture that this counter is localized in the generic case, but grows in the Liouvillian case. We propose a generalization of the Wang-Casati-Prosen counter: this generalization allows to include rational billiards into consideration. We show that in the case of a $45°\!\!:\!45°\!\!:\!90°$ billiard, the counter grows indefinitely, consistent with the Liouvillian scenario suggested by Wang et al.

• Recent ATLAS results on forward physics and diffraction

  The ATLAS detector at the LHC is equipped with dedicated systems designed for the detection of forward protons produced in diffractive and photon-induced processes. These detectors significantly extend the ATLAS physics reach. Recent measurements performed using these forward proton detectors: elastic proton-proton scattering, exclusive charged pion-pair production, and two-photon production of lepton pairs are presented.
