• Three-loop soft anomalous dimensions for top-quark processes

  I present results for soft anomalous dimensions through three loops for several processes involving the production of top quarks. In particular, I discuss single-top and top-pair production. I also present some numerical results for double-differential distributions in $t{\bar t}$ production through approximate N$^3$LO.

• Shadow generalized parton distributions: a practical approach to the deconvolution problem of DVCS

  Deeply virtual Compton scattering (DVCS) attracts a lot of interest due to its sensitivity to generalized parton distributions (GPDs) which provide a rich access to the partonic structure of hadrons. However, the practical extraction of GPDs for this channel requires a deconvolution procedure, whose feasibility has been disputed. We provide a practical approach to this problem based on a next-to-leading order analysis and a careful study of evolution effects, by exhibiting shadow GPDs with arbitrarily small imprints on DVCS observables at current and future experimental facilities. This shows that DVCS alone will not allow for a model independent extraction of GPDs and a multi-channel analysis is required for this purpose.

• Top quark pair and single top cross sections and ttX (CMS)

  Latest results on inclusive and differential top quark pair and single top quark production cross sections are presented using proton-proton collision data collected by the CMS experiment. The differential cross sections are measured as a function of various kinematic observables of the top quarks and the jets and leptons of the event final state. The results are confronted with precise theory calculations and used to constrain Standard Model parameters. Measurements are performed also with high pT top quarks, i.e., in boosted regimes.

• Coherent photoproduction of $J/\psi$ in nucleus-nucleus collisions \\in the color dipole approach- an update

  We discuss the role of $c \bar c g$-Fock states in the diffractive photoproduction of $J/\psi$-mesons. We build on our earlier description of the process in the color-dipole approach, where we took into account the rescattering of $c \bar c$ pairs using a Glauber-Gribov form of the dipole-nucleus amplitude. We compare the results of our calculations to recent data on the photoproduction of $J/\psi$ by the ALICE and LHCb collaborations.

• Transverse-momentum-dependent parton distribution functions for spin-1 hadrons

  We show transverse-momentum-dependent parton distribution functions (TMDs) for spin-1 hadrons including twist-3 and 4 functions by taking the decomposition of a quark correlation function in the Lorentz-invariant way with the conditions of Hermiticity and parity invariance. We found 30 new TMDs in the tensor-polarized spin-1 hadron at twists 3 and 4 in addition to 10 TMDs at twist 2. Since time-reversal-odd terms of the collinear correlation function should vanish after integrals over the partonic transverse momentum, we obtained new sum rules for the time-reversal-odd structure functions, ${\int d^2 k_T g_{LT} = \int d^2 k_T h_{LL} = \int d^2 k_T h_{3LL} =0}$, at twists 3 and 4. We also indicated that transverse-momentum-dependent fragmentation functions exist in tensor-polarized spin-1 hadrons. The TMDs can probe color degrees of freedom, so that they are valuable in providing unique opportunities for creating interdisciplinary physics fields such as gluon condensate, color Aharonov-Bohm effect, and color entanglement. We also found three new collinear PDFs at twists 3 and 4, and a twist-2 relation and a sum rule were derived in analogy to the Wandzura-Wilczek relation and the Burkhardt-Cottingham sum rule on the structure function ${g_2}$.

• Momentum transfer dependence of heavy quarkonium electroproduction

  We investigate the momentum transfer dependence of differential cross sections $d\sigma/dt$ in diffractive electroproduction of heavy quarkonia on proton targets. Model predictions for $d\sigma/dt$ within the light-front QCD dipole formalism are based on a realistic model for a proper correlation between the impact parameter $\vec b$ of a collision and color dipole orientation $\vec r$. We demonstrate a significance of $\vec b-\vec r$ correlation by comparing with a standard simplification $\vec{b}\parallel\vec{r}$, frequently used in the literature.

• Resummation of the Sivers asymmetry in heavy flavor dijet production at the Electron-Ion Collider

  We review our transverse momentum dependent factorization and resummation formalism for heavy flavor dijet production at the EIC. In this formalism, we have calculated the heavy flavor mass corrections in the collinear-soft and jet functions, and in the resummed expression for the cross section. By establishing this formalism, we then study the effects of the mass corrections by providing predictions at the EIC for the massive case and for the case where the mass is neglected. We find that the heavy flavor mass effects can give sizable corrections to the predicted asymmetry.

• Diffractive dissociation in future electron-ion colliders

  We study diffractive scattering cross sections, focusing on the rapidity gap distribution in realistic kinematics at future electron-ion colliders. Our study consists in numerical solutions of the QCD evolution equations in both fixed and running coupling frameworks. The fixed and the running coupling equations are shown to lead to different shapes for the rapidity gap distribution. The obtained distribution when the coupling is fixed exhibits a shape characteristic of a recently developed model for diffractive dissociation, which indicates the relevance of the study of that diffractive observable for the partonic-level understanding of diffraction.

• Measurements of the Antiquark Flavor Asymmetry in the Proton by the Drell-Yan Experiment SeaQuest

  The antiquark flavor asymmetry dbar/ubar in the proton gives an insight on the non-perturbative structure of the proton. The SeaQuest experiment measured the Drell–Yan cross section ratio of proton-deuterium to proton-proton to determine the antiquark flavor asymmetry dbar/ubar precisely in the range of 0.13<x<0.45. SeaQuest provides the evidence of dbar/ubar > 1.0 over a wide range of momenta. Some theoretical models reproduce this result.
