  The paper develops, within a new representation of Clifford algebras in terms of tensor products of quaternions called hyperquaternions, several applications. The first application is a quaternion 2D representation in contradistinction to the frequently used 3D one. The second one is a new representation of the conformal group in (1+2) space (signature $+--$) within the Dirac algebra $C_(2,3) \simeq $$\mathbb{C\otimes H\otimes H}$ subalgebra of $\mathbb{H\otimes H\otimes H}$. A numerical example and a canonical decomposition into simple planes are given. The third application is a classification of all hyperquaternion algebras into four types, providing the general formulas of the signatures and relating them to the symmetry groups of physics.

• Plea for the use of the exact Stirling formula in statistical mechanics

  In statistical mechanics, the generally called Stirling approximation is actually an approximation of Stirling's formula. In this article, it is shown that the term that is dropped is in fact the one that takes fluctuations into account. The use of the Stirling's exact formula forces us to reintroduce them into the already proposed solutions of well-know puzzles such as the extensivity paradox or the Gibbs' paradox of joining two volumes of identical gas. This amendment clearly results in a gain in consistency and rigor of these solutions.

• Implementing Transverse Momentum Dependent splitting functions in Parton Branching evolution equations

  The Parton Branching (PB) approach describes the evolution of transverse momentum dependent (TMD) parton densities. We propose to extend the PB method by including TMD splitting functions, instead of the DGLAP splitting functions which assume strong ordering in transverse momentum. We present the evolution equations and their numerical solution, which is the first Monte Carlo implementation including TMD splitting functions.

• EUSO-SPB2: A sub-orbital cosmic ray and neutrino multi-messenger pathfinder observatory

  The next generation of ultra-high energy cosmic ray (UHECR) and very-high energy neutrino observatories will address the challenge of the extremely low fluxes of these particles at the highest energies. EUSO-SPB2 (Extreme Universe Space Observatory on a Super Pressure Balloon 2) is designed to prepare space missions to address this challenge. EUSO-SPB2 is equipped with 2 telescopes: the Fluorescence Telescope, which will point downwards and measure fluorescence emission from UHECR air showers with an energy above 2 EeV, and the Cherenkov Telescope (CT), which will point towards the Earth's limb and measure direct Cherenkov emission from cosmic rays with energies above 1 PeV verifying the technique. Pointed below the limb, the CT will search for Cherenkov emission produced by neutrino-sourced tau-lepton decays above 10 PeV energies and study backgrounds for such events. The EUSO-SPB2 mission will provide pioneering observations and technical milestones on the path towards a space-based multi-messenger observatory.

• Connected correlations in partitioning protocols: A case study and beyond

  The assumption of local relaxation in inhomogeneous quantum quenches allows to compute asymptotically the expectation value of local observables via hydrodynamic arguments known as generalized hydrodynamics (GHD). In this work we address formally the question of when an observable is local enough to be described by GHD using the playground of partitioning protocols and non-interacting time evolution. We show that any state evolving under a quadratic Hamiltonian can be described via a set of decoupled dynamical fields such that one of those fields can be identified with a space-time-dependent generalisation of the root density. By studying the contribution to a connected spin correlation of each of those fields independently, we derive the locality conditions under which an observable can be described using the root density only. That shows both the regime of validity for hydrodynamic approaches that aim at describing the asymptotic value of observables in term of the root density only, such as GHD, and the locality conditions necessary for Gaussianification to occur.

• Highlights from the Telescope Array Experiment

  The Telescope Array (TA) is the largest hybrid cosmic ray detector in the Northern Hemisphere, which observes primary particles in the energy range from 2 PeV to 100 EeV. The main TA detector consists of 507 plastic scintillation counters on a 1.2-km spacing square grid and fluorescence detectors at three stations overlooking the sky above the surface detector array. The TA Low energy Extension (TALE) detector, which consists of ten fluorescence telescopes, and 80 infill surface detectors with 400m and 600 m spacing, has continued to provide stable observations since its construction completion in 2018. The TAx4, a plan to quadruple the detection area of TA is also ongoing. About half of the planned surface detectors have been deployed, and the current TAx4 continues to operate stably as a hybrid detector. I review the present status of the TA experiment and the recent results on the cosmic-ray anisotropy, mass composition and energy spectrum.

• Central exclusive diffractive production of axial-vector $f_{1}$ mesons in proton-proton collisions

  Exclusive production of axial-vector $f_{1}(1285)$ meson in proton-proton collisions via pomeron-pomeron fusion within the tensor-pomeron approach is discussed. Two ways to construct the pomeron-pomeron-$f_{1}$ coupling are presented. We adjust the parameters of our model to the WA102 experimental data and compare with predictions of the Sakai-Sugimoto model. Predictions for LHC experiments are given.

• Di-$\pi^0$ correlations in p+p, p+Al and p+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 200 GeV at STAR

  The STAR Collaboration reports measurements of back-to-back azimuthal correlations of di-$\pi^0$ produced at forward pseudorapidity ($2.6<\eta<4.0$) in $p+$$p$, $p+$$\mathrm{Al}$ and $p+$$\mathrm{Au}$ collisions at a center-of-mass energy per nucleon-nucleon pair of 200 GeV. A clear suppression of the correlated away-side yields is observed in $p+$$\mathrm{Au}$ and for the first time in $p+$$\mathrm{Al}$ collisions, compared with the $p$$+$$p$ data. The enhanced suppression found in $p+$$\mathrm{Au}$ with respect to $p+$$\mathrm{Al}$ collisions exhibits the saturation scale ($Q_s^2$) dependence on the mass number~~$A$. The observed suppression of back-to-back pairs as a function of event activity and transverse momentum points to non-linear gluon dynamics arising at high parton densities.

• Measurements of the Antiquark Flavor Asymmetry in the Proton by the Drell-Yan Experiment SeaQuest

  The antiquark flavor asymmetry dbar/ubar in the proton gives an insight on the non-perturbative structure of the proton. The SeaQuest experiment measured the Drell–Yan cross section ratio of proton-deuterium to proton-proton to determine the antiquark flavor asymmetry dbar/ubar precisely in the range of 0.13<x<0.45. SeaQuest provides the evidence of dbar/ubar > 1.0 over a wide range of momenta. Some theoretical models reproduce this result.

• Fusion and monodromy in the Temperley-Lieb category

  Graham and Lehrer (1998) introduced a Temperley-Lieb category $\mathsf{\widetilde{TL}}$ whose objects are the non-negative integers and the morphisms in $\mathsf{Hom}(n,m)$ are the link diagrams from $n$ to $m$ nodes. The Temperley-Lieb algebra $\mathsf{TL}_{n}$ is identified with $\mathsf{Hom}(n,n)$. The category $\mathsf{\widetilde{TL}}$ is shown to be monoidal. We show that it is also a braided category by constructing explicitly a commutor. A twist is also defined on $\mathsf{\widetilde{TL}}$. We introduce a module category ${\text{ Mod}_{\mathsf{\widetilde{TL}}}}$ whose objects are functors from $\mathsf{\widetilde{TL}}$ to $\mathsf{Vect}_{\mathbb C}$ and define on it a fusion bifunctor extending the one introduced by Read and Saleur (2007). We use the natural morphisms constructed for $\mathsf{\widetilde{TL}}$ to induce the structure of a ribbon category on ${\text{ Mod}_{\mathsf{\widetilde{TL}}}}(\beta=-q-q^{-1})$, when $q$ is not a root of unity. We discuss how the braiding on $\mathsf{\widetilde{TL}}$ and integrability of statistical models are related. The extension of these structures to the family of dilute Temperley-Lieb algebras is also discussed.
