• Spin degrees of freedom incorporated in conformal group: Introduction of an intrinsic momentum operator

  Considering spin degrees of freedom incorporated in the conformal generators, we introduce an intrinsic momentum operator $\pi_\mu$, which is feasible for the Bhabha wave equation. If a physical state $\psi_{ph}$ for spin s is annihilated by the $\pi_\mu$, the degree of $\psi_{ph}$, deg $\psi_{ph}$, should equal twice the spin degrees of freedom, $2 ( 2 s + 1)$ for a massive particle, where the multiplicity $2$ indicates the chirality. The relation deg $\psi_{ph}$ = 2(2s+1) holds in the representation $R_5$ (s,s), irreducible representation of the Lorentz group in five dimensions.

• Abelian combinatorial gauge symmetry

  Combinatorial gauge symmetry is a principle that allows us to construct lattice gauge theories with two key and distinguishing properties: a) only one- and two-body interactions are needed; and b) the symmetry is exact rather than emergent in an effective or perturbative limit. The ground state exhibits topological order for a range of parameters. This paper is a generalization of the construction to any finite Abelian group. In addition to the general mathematical construction, we present a physical implementation in superconducting wire arrays, which offers a route to the experimental realization of lattice gauge theories with static Hamiltonians.

• Sifting composite from elementary models at FCCee and CePC

  New Physics models with either an elementary or composite origin are often associated with a similar imprint in a direct search at colliders, case in point being the production of a light pseudoscalar in association with a monochromatic photon from the decay of a Z boson at future $e+e-$ colliders. We exploit the correlation between the discovery of a signal in the Z decays and electroweak precision measurements as a tool to distinguish a composite model from an elementary scalar one. Our results offer an appealing and rich physics case for future colliders and demonstrate how a lepton collider at the Z mass can be a discovery machine for new physics in the Higgs sector.

• Measurements and searches of Higgs boson production involving fermion couplings with the ATLAS detector

  In the standard model, fermions acquire the mass via the Yukawa interaction. This mechanism can be tested by measuring couplings of the fermions with the Higgs boson. At the ATLAS experiment, the Higgs-fermion coupling measurements became possible thanks to the abundant dataset: the integrated luminosity of 139~fb$^{-1}$ at the centre-of-mass energy of 13~TeV as well as 25~fb$^{-1}$ at 7--8~TeV. This paper presents recent results from measurements of the Higgs boson productions in decays to a fermion pair in the final state with the ATLAS detector.

• Ultraperipheral collisions and low-x physics

  Ultraperipheral collisions at the LHC and RHIC offer the highest currently available energy for photon-nucleon and photon-nucleus collisions. Thus they are a valuable tool for studying the gluonic structure of hadrons and nuclei at small x. We discuss recent theoretical work towards understanding such exclusive processes at NLO accuracy in QCD perturbation theory. These theoretical advances are also immediately relevant for understanding the physics of deep inelastic scattering at small x. We also discuss experimental results in ultraperipheral collisions, most prominently for exclusive vector meson production.

• Quark Sivers Function at Small-$x$: Leading contribution from the Spin-Dependent Odderon

  We present the calculation of the leading contribution to the quark Sivers function at small-Bjorken $x$. This calculation uses the high energy scattering approximation and operator formalism developed by Kovchegov and Sievert to obtain a dominant contribution to the quark Sivers function coming from the spin-dependent odderon, in agreement with the results of Dong, Zhen, and Zhou. We then calculate this dominant contribution in the diquark model of the proton to obtain a small-$x$ estimate for the Sivers function.

• Study of entanglement in symmetric multi-quDits systems through information diagrams

  Along this paper, we analyze the entanglement properties of symmetric multi-quDits systems in a special type of states created from the generalization to U(D) of the usual spin coherent states. By means of parity operators, we define what we call multicomponent Schrödinger cat states as parity adapted coherent states. Introducing the tool of information diagrams, i.e. representations of pairs of entropy measures, we analyze the correlation structure of this type of states and their M-wise reduced density matrices.

• Drell-Yan $p_{\bot}$ with NLO-matched Parton Branching TMDs at energies from fixed-target to LHC

  The description of the Drell-Yan (DY) transverse momentum spectrum requires matching of fixed order QCD calculations with soft gluon resummation up to all orders in the QCD coupling. It has been noticed in the literature that a consistent description of DY data in a wide kinematic regime from fixed-target to LHC energies is problematic. In this talk the predictions for transverse momentum spectrum of DY data coming from experiments in very different kinematic ranges (NuSea, R209, Phenix, LHC 8 TeV and 13 TeV center-of-mass energies $\sqrt{s}$) are calculated by applying transverse momentum dependent (TMD) parton distributions obtained from the Parton Branching (PB) method, combined with the next-to-leading-order (NLO) calculation of the hard process in the MCatNLO method. We discuss the problems involved in matching of the fixed order calculation and resummation, especially in the moderate to low mass and $p_{\bot}$ region accessible at fixed target experiments. We find that at low DY mass and low $\sqrt{s}$ even in the region of $p_{\bot}/m_{DY}\sim 1$ the contribution of multiple soft gluon emissions (included in the PB-TMDs) is essential to describe the measurements, while at larger masses and LHC energies the contribution from soft gluons in the region of $p_{\bot}/m_{DY}\sim 1$ is small.

• Optimal control of a quantum sensor: A fast algorithm based on an analytic solution

  Quantum sensors can show unprecedented sensitivities, provided they are controlled in a very specific, optimal way. Here, we consider a spin sensor of time-varying fields in the presence of dephasing noise, and we show that the problem of finding the pulsed control field that optimizes the sensitivity (i.e., the smallest detectable signal) can be mapped to the determination of the ground state of a spin chain. We find an approximate but analytic solution of this problem, which provides a lower bound for the sensitivity and a pulsed control very close to optimal, which we further use as initial guess for realizing a fast simulated annealing algorithm. We experimentally demonstrate the sensitivity improvement for a spin-qubit magnetometer based on a nitrogen-vacancy center in diamond.

• Study of light nuclei by polarization observables in electron scattering

  Electron-induced proton, neutron and deuteron knock-out remains the most versatile probe of the electro-magnetic properties and spin structure of light nuclei. The advent of highly polarized beams and targets and improvements in recoil polarization methods, as well as analysis and simulation techniques, have enabled us to study the static and dynamical properties of few-body systems with unprecedented precision. Recent experiments at Jefferson Lab and MAMI are presented and put into perspective of state-of-the art Faddeev calculations, with focus on the $^\mathbf{3}\mathbf{He}$ nucleus.
