• Anisotropic Kondo line defect and ODE/IM correspondence

  We study the anisotropic Kondo line defects in products of chiral SU(2) WZW models. We propose an ODE/IM correspondence for the anisotropic Kondo problems by considering the four-dimensional Chern Simons theory in the trigonometric case. We verify the claim both by explicit perturbative calculations in the ultraviolet and by exact WKB analysis in the infrared. In doing so, we derived the infrared dynamics of a large class of anisotropic line defects.

• The superconducting clock-circuit: Improving the coherence of Josephson radiation beyond the thermodynamic uncertainty relation

  In the field of superconducting electronics, the on-chip generation of AC radiation is essential for further advancements. Although a Josephson junction can emit AC radiation from a purely DC voltage bias, the coherence of this radiation is significantly limited by Johnson-Nyquist noise. We relate this limitation to the thermodynamic uncertainty relation (TUR) in the field of stochastic thermodynamics. Recent findings indicate that the thermodynamic uncertainty relation can be broken by a classical pendulum clock. We demonstrate how the violation of the TUR can be used as a design principle for radiation sources by showing that a superconducting clock circuit emits coherent AC radiation from a DC bias.

• pySecDec as a tool for expansion by regions and loop amplitude evaluation

  We present the new release of pySecDec, a toolbox for the evaluation of dimensionally regulated parameter integrals. The main new features consist of an automated way to perform expansions, based on the geometric approach to the method of expansion by regions, and a new algorithm to efficiently evaluate linear combinations of integrals as needed for the calculation of scattering amplitudes. The other new features are also summarised briefly.

• Proving the dimension-shift conjecture

  We prove the conjecture made by Bern, Dixon, Dunbar, and Kosower that describes a simple dimension shifting relationship between the one-loop structure of N = 4 MHV amplitudes and all-plus helicity amplitudes in pure Yang-Mills theory. The proof captures all orders in dimensional regularisation using unitarity cuts, by combining massive spinor-helicity with Coulomb-branch supersymmetry. • Tunable anharmonicity in cavity optomechanics in the unresolved sideband regime

  Introducing a controlled and strong anharmonicity in mechanical systems is a present challenge of nanomechanics. In cavity optomechanics a mechanical oscillator may be made anharmonic by ponderomotively coupling its motion to the light field of a laser-driven cavity. In the regime where the mechanical resonating frequency and the single-photon coupling constant are small compared to the decay rate of the cavity field, it turns out that the quantum electromagnetic fluctuations of the laser field drive the oscillator into a high-temperature thermal state. The motional state may however be highly non-Gaussian; we show that a precise tuning of system parameters may even lead to a purely quartic effective potential for the mechanical oscillator. We present a theory that predicts the measurable signatures left by the mechanical anharmonicity. In particular, we obtain analytically and numerically the mechanical displacement spectrum, and explore the imprints of the mechanical anharmonicity on the cavity light field.

  The CRESST-III experiment aims at the direct detection of dark matter particles via their elastic scattering off nuclei in a scintillating CaWO$_4$ target crystal. For many years CaWO$_4$ crystals have successfully been produced in-house at Technische Universität München with a focus on high radiopurity. To further improve the CaWO$_4$ crystals, an extensive chemical purification of the raw materials has been performed and the crystal TUM93 was produced from this powder. We present results from an $\alpha$-decay rate analysis performed on 344 days of data collected in the ongoing CRESST-III data-taking campaign. The $\alpha$-decay rate could significantly be reduced.

• Roy Glauber and asymptotic diffraction theory

  This is a review of Glauber's asymptotic diffraction theory, in which diffractive scattering is described in terms of interference between semiclassical amplitudes, resulting from a stationary-phase approximation. Typically two such amplitudes are sufficient to accurately describe elastic scattering, but the stationary points are located at complex values of the impact parameter. Their separation controls the interference pattern, and their offsets from the real axis determine the overall fall-off with momentum transfer. Asymptotically, at large momentum transfers, the stationary points move towards singularities of the profile function. I also include some reminiscences from our collaboration.

• Deriving the non-perturbative gravitational dual of quantum Liouville theory from BCFT operator algebra

  We demonstrate that, by utilizing the boundary conformal field theory (BCFT) operator algebra of the Liouville CFT, one can express its path-integral on any Riemann surface as a three dimensional path-integral with appropriate boundary conditions, generalising the recipe for rational CFTs. This serves as a constructive method for deriving the quantum holographic dual of the CFT, which reduces to Einstein gravity in the large central charge limit. As a byproduct, the framework provides an explicit discrete state-sum of a 3D non-chiral topological theory constructed from quantum $6j$ symbols of $\mathcal{U}_q(sl(2,\mathbb{R}))$ with non-trivial boundary conditions, representing a long-sought non-perturbative discrete formulation of 3D pure gravity with negative cosmological constant, at least within a class of three manifolds. This constitutes the first example of an exact holographic tensor network that reproduces a known irrational CFT with a precise quantum gravitational interpretation.

• Sivers asymmetry in inelastic $J/ψ$ leptoproduction at the EIC

  We study the Sivers asymmetry in inelastic $J/\psi$ leptoproduction, $ep^\uparrow \to e+ J/\psi+X$, within a transverse momentum dependent scheme, the so-called generalized parton model (GPM). The effects of final-state interactions are properly taken into account by employing the color-gauge invariant GPM (CGI-GPM). For the $J/\psi$ formation the non-relativistic QCD (NRQCD) framework is adopted. Predictions for unpolarized cross sections and maximized Sivers asymmetries at EIC energies are given.

• Sequential adiabatic generation of chiral topological states

  In previous work, it was shown that non-trivial gapped states can be generated from a product state using a sequential quantum circuit. Explicit circuit constructions were given for a variety of gapped states at exactly solvable fixed points. In this paper, we show that a similar generation procedure can be established for chiral topological states as well, despite the fact that they lack a zero-correlation-length exactly solvable form. Instead of sequentially applying local unitary gates, we sequentially evolve the Hamiltonian by changing local terms in one subregion and then the next. The Hamiltonian remains gapped throughout the process, giving rise to an adiabatic evolution mapping the ground state from a product state to a chiral topological state. We demonstrate such a sequential adiabatic generation process for free fermion chiral states like the Chern Insulator and the $p+ip$ superconductor. Moreover, we show that coupling a quantum state to a discrete gauge group can be achieved through a sequential quantum circuit, thereby generating interacting chiral topological states from the free fermion ones.
