• High field magnetism of the triangular lattice antiferromagnet CsFeCl$_3$ under high pressure

  Magnetization measurements of the triangular lattice antiferromagnet CsFeCl$_{3}$ at 1.4 K for $H \parallel c$ were performed in pulsed high magnetic fields of up to 51 T under high pressures of up to 0.80 GPa. At ambient pressure, the magnetization below $H_{\rm c1}$ = 4 T is small, and then it changes steeply between $H_{\rm c1}$ and $H_{\rm c2}$ = 12 T, followed by a gradual increase in magnetization up to $H_{\rm m}$ = 33 T where a two-step metamagnetic transition occurs. With increasing pressure, the $H_{\rm c1}$ and $H_{\rm m}$ shifted to the low-field side, while the $H_{\rm c2}$ shifted to the opposite side. The change in $H_{\rm m}$ may depend on the difference in the single-ion anisotropies on pressure in the lowest $J$ = 1 and the excited $J$ = 2 states.

• NLO collinear factorization of large mass diphoton photoproduction amplitude

  We calculate large mass diphoton exclusive photoproduction in the framework of collinear QCD factorization at next to leading order in {\alpha}s and at leading twist. Collinear divergences of the coefficient function are absorbed by the evolution of the generalized parton distributions (GPDs). This result enlarges the existing factorization proofs to 2 -> 3 processes, opening new reactions to a trustable extraction of GPDs.

  We show how Newton-Cartan geometry can be generalized to String Newton-Cartan geometry which is the geometry underlying non-relativistic string theory. Several salient properties of non-relativistic string theory in this geometric background are presented and a discussion of possible research for the future is outlined.

• Studying hadronization at LHCb

  LHCb is a fully instrumented forward spectrometer with particle identification and muon reconstruction covering the pseudorapidity ($eta$) range from 2 to 5. Its full jet reconstruc- tion capability makes the LHCb experiment a suitable venue to explore jet substructure observables, particularly formation of hadrons and heavy quarkonia resonances inside jets. This contribution presents a brief overview of ongoing research program and dis- cusses recent results on non-identified charged hadron distributions in Z-tagged jets and charmonium distributions within jets. Future works towards furthering the knowledge of hadronizion are also discussed.

• A graph-theoretic approach to chaos and complexity in quantum systems

  There has recently been considerable interest in studying quantum systems via dynamical Lie algebras (DLAs) – Lie algebras generated by the terms which appear in the Hamiltonian of the system. However, there are some important properties that are revealed only at a finer level of granularity than the DLA. In this work we explore, via the commutator graph, average notions of scrambling, chaos and complexity over ensembles of systems with DLAs that possess a basis consisting of Pauli strings. Unlike DLAs, commutator graphs are sensitive to short-time dynamics, and therefore constitute a finer probe to various characteristics of the corresponding ensemble. We link graph-theoretic properties of the commutator graph to the out-of-time-order correlator (OTOC), the frame potential, the frustration graph of the Hamiltonian of the system, and the Krylov complexity of operators evolving under the dynamics. For example, we reduce the calculation of average OTOCs to a counting problem on the graph; separately, we connect the Krylov complexity of an operator to the module structure of the adjoint action of the DLA on the space of operators in which it resides, and prove that its average over the ensemble is lower bounded by the average shortest path length between the initial operator and the other operators in the commutator graph.

• NLO finite system size corrections to $2\to2$ scattering in $\phi^4$ theory using newly derived sum of sinc functions

  Previously an equation of state for the relativistic hydrodynamics encountered in heavy-ion collisions at the LHC and RHIC has been calculated using lattice gauge theory methods. This leads to a prediction of very low viscosity, due to the calculated trace anomaly. Finite system corrections to this trace anomaly could challenge this calculation, since the lattice calculation was done in an effectively infinite system. In order to verify this trace anomaly it is sensible to add phenomenologically relevant finite system corrections. We investigate massive $\phi^4$ theory with periodic boundary conditions on $n$ of the 3 spatial dimensions. $2\to2$ NLO scattering is then computed. Using a newly derived formula for an arbitrary dimensional sum of sinc functions, we show that the NLO finite size corrections preserve unitarity.

• All order merging of high energy and soft collinear resummation

  We present a method of merging the exclusive LO-matched high energy resummation of High Energy Jets (HEJ) with the parton shower of PYTHIA which preserves the accuracy of the LO cross sections and the logarithmic accuracy of both resummation schemes across all of phase space. Predictions produced with this merging prescription are presented with comparisons to data from experimental studies and suggestions are made for further observables and experimental cuts which highlight the importance of both high energy and soft-collinear effects.

• ALPs and HNLs at LHC and muon colliders: Uncovering new couplings and signals

  Axion-like particles (ALPs) and heavy neutral leptons (HNLs) are two well-motivated classes of particles beyond the Standard Model. It is intriguing to explore the new detection opportunities that may arise if both particle types coexist. Part of the authors already investigated this scenario in a previous publication, within a simplified model containing an ALP and a single HNL, identifying particularly promising processes that could be searched for at the LHC. In this paper, we first consider the same setup with a broader range of both production processes and final states, both at the High-Luminosity LHC and at a future muon collider. Subsequently, we expand it to the more realistic scenario with at least two HNLs, necessary to describe the active neutrino masses. Different phenomenological signals are expected and we examine the complexities that emerge in this setup. This study paves the way for dedicated analysis at (forthcoming) colliders, potentially pinpointing the dynamics of ALPs and HNLs.

• pySecDec as a tool for expansion by regions and loop amplitude evaluation

  We present the new release of pySecDec, a toolbox for the evaluation of dimensionally regulated parameter integrals. The main new features consist of an automated way to perform expansions, based on the geometric approach to the method of expansion by regions, and a new algorithm to efficiently evaluate linear combinations of integrals as needed for the calculation of scattering amplitudes. The other new features are also summarised briefly.

• Thermodynamics of adiabatic quantum pumping in quantum dots

  We consider adiabatic quantum pumping through a resonant level model, a single-level quantum dot connected to two fermionic leads. Using the tools of adiabatic expansion, we develop a self-contained thermodynamic description of this model accounting for the variation of the energy level of the dot and the tunnelling rates with the thermal baths. This enables us to study various examples of pumping cycles computing the relevant thermodynamic quantities, such as the entropy produced and the dissipated power. These quantities are compared with the transport properties of the system, i.e. the pumped charge and the charge noise. Among other results, we find that the entropy production rate vanishes in the charge quantization limit while the dissipated power is quantized in the same limit.
