• Phenomenological extraction of a universal TMD fragmentation function from single hadron production in $e^+ e^-$ annihilations

  Factorizing the cross section for single hadron production in $e^+e^-$ annihilations, differential in $z_h$, $P_T$ and thrust, is a highly non trivial task. We have devised a factorization scheme that allows us to recast the $e^+e^- \to hX$ cross section in the convolution of a calculable hard coefficient and a universal Transverse Momentum Dependent (TMD) Fragmentation Function (FF). The predictions obtained from our NLO-LL perturbative computation, together with a simple ansatz to model the non-perturbative part of the TMD, are applied to the experimental measurements of the BELLE Collaboration for the phenomenological extraction of this process independent TMD FF.

  A survey is given on the new 2– and 3–loop results for the heavy flavor contributions to deep–inelastic scattering in the unpolarized and the polarized case. We also discuss related new mathematical aspects applied in these calculations.

• Forward Higgs production at NLO using Lipatov's high energy effective action

  We use Lipatov's high energy effective action to determine the next-to-leading order corrections to Higgs production in the forward region. As a new element we provide a proper definition of the desired next-to-leading order coefficient within the high energy effective action framework, extending a previously proposed prescription. We further propose a subtraction mechanism to achieve for this coefficient a stable cancellation of real and virtual infra-red singularities in the presence of external off-shell legs and discuss aspects related to choice of a reference scale for high energy resummation.

• Impact of LHC dijet production in pp and pPb collisions on the nNNPDF2.0 nuclear PDFs

  We quantify the impact of LHC dijet production measurements on the nNNPDF2.0 nuclear PDFs in twofold. First, from a proton baseline based on NNPDF3.1 and augmented by pp dijet production measurements from ATLAS and CMS at 7 and 8 TeV. Second, from a new nNNPDF2.0 global analysis including the ratio of pPb to pp dijet spectra from CMS at 5 TeV. We show that as opposed to the CMS at 5 TeV absolute pp and pPb dijet spectra, the pPb/pp ratio is well described in a nPDFs fit and provides strong constraints on the gluon of lead.

• Higher-order corrections to exclusive heavy vector meson production

  We present results for higher-order corrections to exclusive $\mathrm{J}/\psi$ production. This includes the first relativistic correction of order $v^2$ in quark velocity, and next-to-leading order corrections in $\alpha_s$ for longitudinally polarized production. The relativistic corrections are found to be important for a good description of the HERA data, especially at small values of the photon virtuality. The next-to-leading order results for longitudinal production are evaluated numerically. We also demonstrate how the vector meson production provides complementary information to the structure functions for extracting the initial condition for the small-$x$ evolution of the dipole-proton scattering amplitude.

• $\Lambda$ Polarizing Fragmentation Function from Belle $e^+ e^-$ data

  Experimental data from Belle Collaboration for the transverse polarization of $\Lambda$'s measured in $e^+ e^-$ annihilation processes are used to extract the polarizing fragmentation function (FF) within a TMD approach. We consider both associated and inclusive $\Lambda$ production, showing a quite consistent scenario. Good separation in flavor is obtained, leading to four independent FFs. Predictions for SIDIS processes at the EIC, crucial for understanding their universality and evolution properties, are also presented.

• High-energy logarithmic corrections to the QCD component of same-sign W-pair production

  We describe the calculation of the QCD contribution to same-sign $W$-pair production, $pp\to e^\pm \nu_e \mu^\pm \nu_\mu jj$, resumming all contributions scaling as $\alpha_W^4 \alpha_s^{2+k}\log^k(\hat s/p_\perp^2)$ [arXiv:2107.06818]. These leading logarithmic contributions are enhanced by typical cuts used for Vector Boson Scattering (VBS) studies. We show that while the cross sections are little affected by these corrections, other more exclusive observables relevant for experimental studies are affected more significantly.

• Implementing Transverse Momentum Dependent splitting functions in Parton Branching evolution equations

  The Parton Branching (PB) approach describes the evolution of transverse momentum dependent (TMD) parton densities. We propose to extend the PB method by including TMD splitting functions, instead of the DGLAP splitting functions which assume strong ordering in transverse momentum. We present the evolution equations and their numerical solution, which is the first Monte Carlo implementation including TMD splitting functions.

• Intrinsic charm in the nucleon and forward production of charm: a new constrain from IceCube Neutrino Observatory

  The predictions for the atmospheric neutrino flux at high energies strongly depend on the contribution of prompt neutrinos, which are determined by the production of charmed meson in the atmosphere at very forward rapidities. Here we estimate the related cross sections taking into account the presence of an intrinsic charm (IC) component in the proton wave function. The impact on the predictions for the prompt neutrino flux is investigated assuming different values for the probability to find the IC in the nucleon.

• Determination of the rapidity evolution kernel from Drell-Yan data at low transverse momenta

  We report recent results on the extraction of the rapidity evolution kernel for Sudakov processes from experimental measurements of Drell-Yan (DY) transverse momentum distributions. We discuss the role of high-precision Large Hadron Collider (LHC) data, and illustrate the interplay of this analysis with transverse momentum dependent and collinear parton density functions.
