• Generalized hydrodynamics in complete box-ball system for $U_q(\widehat{sl}_n)$

  We introduce the complete box-ball system (cBBS), which is an integrable cellular automaton on 1D lattice associated with the quantum group $U_q(\widehat{sl}_n)$. Compared with the conventional $(n-1)$-color BBS, it enjoys a remarkable simplification that scattering of solitons is totally diagonal. We also submit the cBBS to randomized initial conditions and study its non-equilibrium behavior by thermodynamic Bethe ansatz and generalized hydrodynamics. Excellent agreement is demonstrated between theoretical predictions and numerical simulation on the density plateaux generated from domain wall initial conditions including their diffusive broadening.

• Out-of-equilibrium dynamics of two interacting optically-trapped particles

  We present a theoretical analysis of a non-equilibrium dynamics in a model system consisting of two particles which move randomly on a plane. The two particles interact via a harmonic potential, experience their own (independent from each other) noises characterized by two different temperatures $T_1$ and $T_2$, and each particle is being held by its own optical tweezer. Such a system with two particles coupled by hydrodynamic interactions was previously realised experimentally in Bérut et al. [EPL 107, 60004 (2014)], and the difference between two temperatures has been achieved by exerting an additional noise on either of the tweezers. Framing the dynamics in terms of two coupled over-damped Langevin equations, we show that the system reaches a non-equilibrium steady-state with non-zero (for $T_1 \neq T_2$) probability currents that possess non-zero curls. As a consequence, in this system the particles are continuously spinning around their centers of mass in a completely synchronized way - the curls of currents at the instantaneous positions of two particles have the same magnitude and sign. Moreover, we demonstrate that the components of currents of two particles are strongly correlated and undergo a rotational motion along closed elliptic orbits.

• Random features and polynomial rules

  Random features models play a distinguished role in the theory of deep learning, describing the behavior of neural networks close to their infinite-width limit. In this work, we present a thorough analysis of the generalization performance of random features models for generic supervised learning problems with Gaussian data. Our approach, built with tools from the statistical mechanics of disordered systems, maps the random features model to an equivalent polynomial model, and allows us to plot average generalization curves as functions of the two main control parameters of the problem: the number of random features $N$ and the size $P$ of the training set, both assumed to scale as powers in the input dimension $D$. Our results extend the case of proportional scaling between $N$, $P$ and $D$. They are in accordance with rigorous bounds known for certain particular learning tasks and are in quantitative agreement with numerical experiments performed over many order of magnitudes of $N$ and $P$. We find good agreement also far from the asymptotic limits where $D\to ∞$ and at least one between $P/D^K$, $N/D^L$ remains finite.

• Global symmetry and conformal bootstrap in the two-dimensional $Q$-state Potts model

  The Potts conformal field theory is an analytic continuation in the central charge of conformal field theory describing the critical two-dimensional $Q$-state Potts model. Four-point functions of the Potts conformal field theory are dictated by two constraints: the crossing-symmetry equation and $S_Q$ symmetry. We numerically solve the crossing-symmetry equation for several four-point functions of the Potts conformal field theory for $Q\in\mathbb{C}$. In all examples, we find crossing-symmetry solutions that are consistent with $S_Q$ symmetry of the Potts conformal field theory. In particular, we have determined their numbers of crossing-symmetry solutions, their exact spectra, and a few corresponding fusion rules. In contrast to our results for the $O(n)$ model, in most of examples, there are extra crossing-symmetry solutions whose interpretations are still unknown.

• Particle representation for $NN{\bar K}$ system

  In the framework of the Faddeev equations in configuration space we perform an analysis of quasi-bound state of the $NN{\bar K}$ system within a particle model. In our approach, the system $NN{\bar K}(s_{NN}=0)$ ($NN{\bar K}(s_{NN}=1))$ is described as a superposition of $ppK^{-}$ and $pn{\bar K}^0$ ($nn{\bar K}^{0}$ and $pn{ K}^-$) states, which is possible due to a particle transition. The relation of the particle model to the theory of a two-state quantum system is addressed and discussed taking into account the possibilities of deep and shallow $NN{\bar K}(s_{NN}=0)$ quasi-bound states.

• Bistability and nonequilibrium condensation in a driven-dissipative Josephson array: A c-field model

  Developing theoretical models for nonequilibrium quantum systems poses significant challenges. Here we develop and study a multimode model of a driven-dissipative Josephson junction chain of atomic Bose-Einstein condensates, as realised in the experiment of Labouvie et al. [Phys. Rev. Lett. 116, 235302 (2016)]. The model is based on c-field theory, a beyond-mean-field approach to Bose-Einstein condensates that incorporates fluctuations due to finite temperature and dissipation. We find the c-field model is capable of capturing all key features of the nonequilibrium phase diagram, including bistability and a critical slowing down in the lower branch of the bistable region. Our model is closely related to the so-called Lugiato-Lefever equation, and thus establishes new connections between nonequilibrium dynamics of ultracold atoms with nonlinear optics, exciton-polariton superfluids, and driven damped sine-Gordon systems.

• Subsystem symmetry fractionalization and foliated field theory

  Topological quantum matter exhibits a range of exotic phenomena when enriched by subdimensional symmetries. This includes new features beyond those that appear in the conventional setting of global symmetry enrichment. A recently discovered example is a type of subsystem symmetry fractionalization that occurs through a different mechanism to global symmetry fractionalization. In this work we extend the study of subsystem symmetry fractionalization through new examples derived from the general principle of embedding subsystem symmetry into higher-form symmetry. This leads to new types of symmetry fractionalization that are described by foliation dependent higher-form symmetries. This leads to field theories and lattice models that support previously unseen anomalous subsystem symmetry fractionalization. Our work expands the range of exotic topological physics that is enabled by subsystem symmetry in field theory and on the lattice.

• Faraday rotation and transmittance as markers of topological phase transitions in 2D materials

  We analyze the magneto-optical conductivity (and related magnitudes like transmittance and Faraday rotation of the irradiated polarized light) of some elemental two-dimensional Dirac materials of group IV (graphene analogues, buckled honeycomb lattices, like silicene, germanene, stannane, etc.), group V (phosphorene), and zincblende heterostructures (like HgTe/CdTe quantum wells) near the Dirac and gamma points, under out-of-plane magnetic and electric fields, to characterize topological-band insulator phase transitions and their critical points. We provide plots of the Faraday angle and transmittance as a function of the polarized light frequency, for different external electric and magnetic fields, chemical potential, HgTe layer thickness and temperature, to tune the material magneto-optical properties. We have shown that absortance/transmittance acquires extremal values at the critical point, where the Faraday angle changes sign, thus providing fine markers of the topological phase transition. In the case of non-topological materials as phosphorene, a minimum of the transmittance is also observed due to the energy gap closing by an external electric field.

• Exact spin correlators of integrable quantum circuits from algebraic geometry

  We calculate the correlation functions of strings of spin operators for integrable quantum circuits exactly. These observables can be used for the calibration of quantum simulation platforms. We use the algebraic Bethe Ansatz, in combination with computational algebraic geometry, to obtain analytic results for medium-size (around 10-20 qubits) quantum circuits. The results are rational functions of the quantum circuit parameters. We obtain analytic results for such correlation functions both in the real space and Fourier space. In the real space, we analyze the short time and long time limits of the correlation functions. In Fourier space, we obtain analytic results in different parameter regimes, which exhibit qualitatively different behaviors. Using these analytic results, one can easily generate numerical data to arbitrary precision.

• Lifting integrable models and long-range interactions

  In this paper we discuss a constructive approach to check whether a constant Hamiltonian is Yang-Baxter integrable. We then apply our method to long-range interactions and find the Lax operator and R-matrix of the three-loop SU(2) sector in N=4 SYM. We show that all known integrable long-range deformations of the 6-vertex models of this type can be obtained from a Lax operator and an R-matrix. Finally we discuss what happens at higher loops and highlight some general structures that these models exhibit.
