  Deuteron spin structure program is aimed on extraction of two and three nucleon forces information, including their spin dependent parts, from dp elastic and dp breakup processes investigated at intermediate energies. The dp elastic data were obtained at Internal Target Station of Nuclotron (JINR) in the energy range 400-1800 MeV using polarized deuteron beam. Strong sensitivity to the short range spin structure of the isoscalar nucleon-nucleon correlations is observed in deuteron analyzing powers. Preliminary results of the the cross section for the dp breakup reaction have been obtained at 400 MeV of deuteron energy.

• Muonium reaction in MgO: A showcase for the final steps of ion implantation

  We present an in-depth investigation of the implantation of positive muons in magnesium oxide (MgO). Muonium, the positive muon plus an electron is an analogue of the hydrogen atom. This study describes the final stage of the implantation process, from muon diffusion over the potential barrier and the stopping by an inelastic reaction to the final embedding of the muon into the lattice structure. A special aspect is a relatively long-lived intermediate configuration which lasts for several hundred nanoseconds or more and is accessible to muon spin spectroscopy. The model presented here provides a framework for the analysis of the general case of ion implantation.

• Multiplicity dependence of charged-particle jet production in pp collisions at 13 TeV with ALICE

  Measurements of jet production and jet properties in pp collisions provide a test of perturbative quantum chromodynamics (pQCD) and form a baseline for similar measurements in heavy ion (A-A) collisions. In this contribution, we report recent ALICE measurements of charged-particle jet production and intra-jet properties, including mean charged-constituent multiplicity and fragmentation distribution for leading jets, in minimum bias pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV. In addition, the event multiplicity dependence of jet production and jet properties in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV will be presented. Results will be compared with theoretical model predictions.

• Measurements of sub-jet fragmentation with ALICE

  High-energy jets offer rich opportunities to study quantum chromodynamics, from investigating the limits of perturbative calculability to constraining the emergent properties of the quark-gluon plasma (QGP). In these proceedings, we present new measurements of the fragmentation properties of jets. We report distributions of the sub-jet momentum fraction $z_r$ measured in pp and Pb-Pb collisions with ALICE at the Large Hadron Collider. These measurements serve as input to test the universality of jet fragmentation in the QGP, and offer a path to elucidate jet quenching effects in the large-$z$ region.

  David Rowe was a highly respected theoretical physicist who made seminal contributions that improved our understanding of the atomic nucleus, in particular of the collective behaviour of its constituent nucleons - results he often obtained with the use of sophisticated group-theoretical methods. He will also be remembered as the (co-)author of monographs on nuclear physics, written with the scientific rigour that was characteristic of his research.

• Accurate surrogate amplitudes with calibrated uncertainties

  Neural networks for LHC physics have to be accurate, reliable, and controlled. Using neural surrogates for the prediction of loop amplitudes as a use case, we first show how activation functions are systematically tested with Kolmogorov-Arnold Networks. Then, we train neural surrogates to simultaneously predict the target amplitude and an uncertainty for the prediction. We disentangle systematic uncertainties, learned by a well-defined likelihood loss, from statistical uncertainties, which require the introduction of Bayesian neural networks or repulsive ensembles. We test the coverage of the learned uncertainties using pull distributions to quantify the calibration of cutting-edge neural surrogates.

• Implications of new physics in $\Lambda_b \to \Lambda_c \ell \nu_{\ell}$ decay processes

  Several indications of lepton non universality ratios, $R{(D^*)}$, $R{(J/\Psi)}$ and the measurements on hadronic and $\tau$ longitudinal polarizations in $b \to c \ell \bar{\nu_{\tau}}$ processes have attracted a lot of attentions. By considering the most general effective Lagrangian, we carry out a model independent analysis of the semileptonic $\Lambda_b$ decays, to inspect the nature of new physics. We constraint the new physics parameter space by using the chi square fitting. We study the implications of constrained new couplings on the observable such as branching fractions, forward-backward asymmetries, lepton non universality parameter and $\Lambda_c$ and lepton longitudinal polarization fractions of the decay modes.

• On currents in the $O(n)$ loop model

  Using methods from the conformal bootstrap, we study the properties of Noether currents in the critical $O(n)$ loop model. We confirm that they do not give rise to a Kac-Moody algebra (for $n≠ 2$), a result expected from the underlying lack of unitarity. By studying four-point functions in detail, we fully determine the current-current OPEs, and thus obtain several structure constants with physical meaning. We find in particular that the terms $:\!J\bar{J}\!:$ in the identity and adjoint channels vanish exactly, invalidating the argument made in \[Nucl. Phys. B 419, 411 (1994)] that adding orientation-dependent interactions to the model should lead to continuously varying exponents in self-avoiding walks. We also determine the residue of the identity channel in the $JJ$ two-point function, finding that it coincides both with the result of a transfer-matrix computation for an orientation-dependent correlation function in the lattice model, and with an earlier Coulomb gas computation of Cardy [Nucl. Phys. B 265, 409 (1986)]. This is, to our knowledge, one of the first instances where the Coulomb gas formalism and the bootstrap can be successfully compared.

• The Compton Amplitude, lattice QCD and the Feynman-Hellmann approach

  A major objective of lattice QCD is the computation of hadronic matrix elements. The standard method is to use three-point and four-point correlation functions. An alternative approach, requiring only the computation of two-point correlation functions is to use the Feynman-Hellmann theorem. In this talk we develop this method up to second order in perturbation theory, in a context appropriate for lattice QCD. This encompasses the Compton Amplitude (which forms the basis for deep inelastic scattering) and hadron scattering. Some numerical results are presented showing results indicating what this approach might achieve.
