• Drell-Yan transverse spectra at the LHC: a comparison of parton branching and analytical resummation approaches

  I report on precision comparisons of theoretical predictions for Drell-Yan (DY) transverse momentum spectra from two approaches: the analytical resummation approach based on Collins-Soper-Sterman (CSS) formalism and the parton branching (PB) approach to the evolution of transverse momentum dependent (TMD) parton distributions.

• Production of three isolated photons in the high-energy factorization approach

  We study large-$p_T$ three-photon production at the LHC at the center-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s}=8$ TeV. We use the LO approximation of the parton Reggeization approach consistently merged with the real NLO corrections. For numerical calculations use the parton-level generator KaTie and modified KMR-type unintegrated parton distribution functions. We find good agreement between our predictions and data with the same accuracy as in the NNLO calculations based on the collinear parton model of QCD. At higher energies ($\sqrt{s}=13$ and 27 TeV) parton Reggeization approach predicts larger cross sections, up to $\sim 10$ \% and $\sim 20$ \%, respectively.

• Multidimensional partial wave analysis of SIDIS dihadron beam spin asymmetries at CLAS12

  Dihadron beam spin asymmetries provide a wide range of insights into nucleon structure and hadronization. Recent measurements at CLAS12 provide the first empirical evidence of nonzero $G_1^\perp$, the parton helicity-dependent dihadron fragmentation function (DiFF) encoding spin-momentum correlations in hadronization. These measurements also allow for a point-by-point extraction of the subleading-twist PDF $e(x)$ in a collinear framework. We observe different behavior of the asymmetries in different invariant mass regions, motivating a fully multidimensional study. The DiFFs also expand in terms of partial waves, each corresponding to the interference of dihadrons of particular polarizations. Altogether a fully multidimensional partial wave analysis is needed, and this presentation will summarize the efforts and results obtained thus far.

• Pion GPDs: Constraints, modelling and experimental access

  The study of Generalised Parton Distributions is a hot-topic in hadron physics. Due to its connection with chiral symmetry breaking, assessing those of pions is of great interest. For this reason, we present a novel model-building strategy for pion GPDs capable of fulfilling all of the theoretical constraints required by QCD: support, polynomiality, positivity and soft-pion theorem. The methodology is illustrated with a simple model, and exploited afterwards for the calculation of pions' deeply virtual Compton Scattering (DVCS) Compton Form Factors (CFFs) at NLO. The results show gluon-content to play the dominant role in pions' response to DVCS at EIC kinematics.

• Gluon pseudo-distributions at short distances

  We present the results that are necessary in the ongoing lattice calculations of the gluon parton distribution functions (PDFs) within the pseudo-PDF approach. We identify the two-gluon correlator functions that contain the invariant amplitude determining the gluon PDF in the light-cone $z^2 \to 0$ limit, and perform one-loop calculations in the coordinate representation in an explicitly gauge-invariant form. Ultraviolet (UV) terms, which contain $\ln (-z^2)$-dependence cancel in the reduced Ioffe-time distribution (ITD), and we obtain the matching relation between the reduced ITD and the light-cone ITD. Using a kernel form, we get a direct connection between lattice data for the reduced ITD and the normalized gluon PDF.

These quantities are inherently interestingas a probe of the quantum nature of the strong force and are also essential ingredients toadditional studies in high energy scattering experiments. These proceedings provide anoverview of the state of the art in this area, as presented at the Deep-Inelastic ScatteringConference in the Spring of 2021.

• PERLE - ERL Test Facility at Orsay

  PERLE (Powerful ERL for Experiments) is a novel Energy Recovery Linac (ERL) test facility, designed to validate choices for a 50 GeV ERL foreseen in the design of the Large Hadron Electron Collider (LHeC) and the Future Circular Collider (FCC-eh), and to host dedicated nuclear and particle physics experiments. Its main thrust is to probe high current, continuous wave (CW), multi-pass operation with superconducting cavities at 802 MHz. With very high transient beam power (10 MW), PERLE offers an opportunity for controllable study of every beam dynamic effect of interest in the next generation of ERL design and becomes a ‘stepping stone’ between present state-of-art 1 MW ERLs and future 100 MW scale applications.

• Nuclear matter effects on jet production at electron-ion colliders

  In these proceedings we report recent progress on understanding hadron and jet production in electron-nucleus collisions at the future Electron-Ion Collider [1,2]. These processes will play an essential role in the exploration of the partonic structure of nuclei and the study of parton shower evolution in strongly-interacting matter. We employ the framework of soft-collinear effective theory, generalized to include in-medium interactions, to present the first theoretical results for inclusive hadron and jet cross sections, as well as the jet charge modification in deep inelastic scattering on nuclei. We further demonstrate how to separate initial-state and final-state effects.

• CJ15 global PDF analysis with new electroweak data from the STAR and SeaQuest experiments

  We present updates to a recent CTEQ-Jefferson Lab (CJ) global analysis of parton distribution functions with a new set of electroweak data that provide unique access to quark flavor separation in the proton. In particular, recent $W$ and $Z$ boson measurements from the STAR experiment at RHIC put additional constraints on light quarks and antiquarks near the valence regime. The new measurement of the Drell-Yan lepton pair production ratio in $p+p$ and $p+d$ collisions by the SeaQuest experiment at Fermilab extends the large-$x$ coverage of the previous E866 experiment and sheds new light on the light antiquarks distribution. In this report, the impact of these new data sets on parton distribution functions will be presented with emphasis given to the flavor asymmetry of the light antiquark sea at large values of the parton momentum $x$.

• Zero modes and matching for the twist-3 PDFs

  The quasi-PDF approach, proposed by X. Ji in 2013, has made it possible to directly extract light-cone PDFs from lattice QCD. This approach relies on the extraction of matrix elements of space-like operators for fast-moving hadrons. Quasi-PDFs can be related to the light-cone PDFs through a perturbatively calculable matching coefficient. We explore the formalism of matching, for the very first time, for the twist-3 PDFs $g_{T}(x)$, $e(x)$ and $h_{L}(x)$. In this work, we address the non-trivialities involved in the extraction of the matching coefficient due to the presence of (singular) zero-mode contributions.
