• Measurement of Target Spin (in)dependent Asymmetries in Dimuon Production in Pion-Nucleon Collisions at COMPASS

  The exploration of the transverse spin structure of the nucleon is one of the main topics of the COMPASS phase-II experiment. In 2015 and 2018 COMPASS performed Drell–Yan (DY) measurements using a 190 GeV π− beam interacting with a transversely polarized NH3 target and unpolarized W target. The azimuthal asymmetries in DY with trans- versely polarized NH3 target are sensitive to various transverse momentum dependent parton distribution functions. Preliminary results on the Sivers asymmetry are consis- tent with the QCD prediction for a sign-change of Sivers functions in DY. The angular coefficients λ, μ and ν that describe the unpolarized part of the DY cross section have been extracted from the data collected with W target. The preliminary results on the angular coefficients indicate the violation of the Lam–Tung relation, consistent with the observation in earlier DY experiments with pion beams.

• Searches for invisible scalar decays at CLIC

  The Compact Linear Collider (CLIC) is a proposed TeV-scale high-luminosity electron-positron collider at CERN. The first CLIC running stage, at 380 GeV, will focus on precision Higgs boson and top quark studies while the main aim of the subsequent high-energy stages, at 1.5 TeV and 3 TeV, is to extend the sensitivity of CLIC to different Beyond the Standard Model (BSM) scenarios. We studied the prospects for measuring invisible Higgs boson and additional heavy scalar decays using CLIC data at 380 GeV and 1.5 TeV. The analysis is based on the WHIZARD event generator, with fast simulation of the CLIC detector response parametrised by the DELPHES package. We present the expected limits for the invisible decays of the 125 GeV Higgs boson, the cross section limits for production of an additional neutral Higgs scalar, assuming its invisible decays, and limits on the mixing angle between the SM-like Higgs boson and the new scalar of the "dark sector" in the framework of the vector-fermion dark matter model.

• Zero modes and matching for the twist-3 PDFs

  The quasi-PDF approach, proposed by X. Ji in 2013, has made it possible to directly extract light-cone PDFs from lattice QCD. This approach relies on the extraction of matrix elements of space-like operators for fast-moving hadrons. Quasi-PDFs can be related to the light-cone PDFs through a perturbatively calculable matching coefficient. We explore the formalism of matching, for the very first time, for the twist-3 PDFs $g_{T}(x)$, $e(x)$ and $h_{L}(x)$. In this work, we address the non-trivialities involved in the extraction of the matching coefficient due to the presence of (singular) zero-mode contributions.

• Time reversal-odd effects in QCD and beyond

  In this paper we will describe a parallel between phenomenological and symmetry-based descriptions of the process dependence of the time-reversal-odd phenomena in QCD, such as the Sivers effect, with the goal of defining the essential elements that lead to such process dependence in QCD. This will then serve as a starting point to explore possible generalizations in a different gauge theory.

• Using coherent dipion photoproduction to image gold nuclei

  Vector meson photoproduction offers the opportunity to image target nuclei. The two-dimensional Fourier transform $d\sigma_{\rm coherent}/dt$ of coherent vector meson photoproduction gives the two-dimensional distribution of interaction sites in the target. Since vector meson photoproduction occurs, at lowest order, via two-gluon exchange, this is sensitive to gluon shadowing. We present an analysis of $\pi^+\pi^-$ photoproduction using data from the STAR detector and a study of $d\sigma_{\rm coherent}/dt$, with an emphasis on probing the nuclear shape and its systematic uncertainties.

• Production of three isolated photons in the high-energy factorization approach

  We study large-$p_T$ three-photon production at the LHC at the center-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s}=8$ TeV. We use the LO approximation of the parton Reggeization approach consistently merged with the real NLO corrections. For numerical calculations use the parton-level generator KaTie and modified KMR-type unintegrated parton distribution functions. We find good agreement between our predictions and data with the same accuracy as in the NNLO calculations based on the collinear parton model of QCD. At higher energies ($\sqrt{s}=13$ and 27 TeV) parton Reggeization approach predicts larger cross sections, up to $\sim 10$ \% and $\sim 20$ \%, respectively.

• Connected and Disconnected Sea Partons from CT18 Parametrization of PDFs

  The separation of the connected and disconnected sea partons, which were uncovered in the Euclidean path-integral formulation of the hadronic tensor, is accommodated with the CT18 parametrization of the global analysis of the parton distribution functions (PDFs). This is achieved with the help of the distinct small $x$ behaviors of these two sea parton components and the constraint from the lattice calculation of the ratio of the strange momentum fraction to that of the ${\bar u}$ or ${\bar d}$ in the disconnected insertion. This allows lattice calculations of separate flavors in both the connected and disconnected insertions to be directly compared with the global analysis results term by term.

• Momentum transfer dependence of heavy quarkonium electroproduction

  We investigate the momentum transfer dependence of differential cross sections $d\sigma/dt$ in diffractive electroproduction of heavy quarkonia on proton targets. Model predictions for $d\sigma/dt$ within the light-front QCD dipole formalism are based on a realistic model for a proper correlation between the impact parameter $\vec b$ of a collision and color dipole orientation $\vec r$. We demonstrate a significance of $\vec b-\vec r$ correlation by comparing with a standard simplification $\vec{b}\parallel\vec{r}$, frequently used in the literature.

• Measurements of the Antiquark Flavor Asymmetry in the Proton by the Drell-Yan Experiment SeaQuest

  The antiquark flavor asymmetry dbar/ubar in the proton gives an insight on the non-perturbative structure of the proton. The SeaQuest experiment measured the Drell–Yan cross section ratio of proton-deuterium to proton-proton to determine the antiquark flavor asymmetry dbar/ubar precisely in the range of 0.13<x<0.45. SeaQuest provides the evidence of dbar/ubar > 1.0 over a wide range of momenta. Some theoretical models reproduce this result.
