• Cosmic ray measurements with IceCube and IceTop

  IceCube is a cubic-kilometer Cherenkov detector in the deep ice at the geographic South Pole. The dominant event yield in the deep ice detector consists of penetrating atmospheric muons with energies above approximately 300 GeV, produced in cosmic ray air showers. In addition, the surface array, IceTop, measures the electromagnetic component and GeV muons of air showers. Hence, IceCube and IceTop yield unique opportunities to study cosmic rays with unprecedented statistics in great detail. We will present recent results of comic ray measurements from IceCube and IceTop. In this overview, we will highlight measurements of the energy spectrum of cosmic rays from 250 TeV up to the EeV range and their mass composition above 3 PeV. We will also report recent results from measurements of the muon content in air showers and discuss their consistency with predictions from current hadronic interaction models.

  OPERA is a long-baseline experiment designed to search for $\nu_{\mu}\to\nu_{\tau}$ oscillations in appearance mode. It was based at the INFN Gran Sasso laboratory (LNGS) and took data from 2008 to 2012 with the CNGS neutrino beam from CERN. After the discovery of $\nu_\tau$ appearance in 2015, with $5.1\sigma$ significance, the criteria to select $\nu_\tau$ candidates have been extended and a multivariate approach has been used for events identification. In this way the statistical uncertainty in the measurement of the oscillation parameters and of $\nu_\tau$ properties has been improved. Results are reported.

• Search for light WIMP recoils on methane with NEWS-G

  The NEWS-G collaboration is searching for light dark matter using single-electron-threshold Spherical Proportional Counters (SPCs) filled with light gaseous targets (H, He, Ne). NEWS-G has built a new 140 cm diameter SPC equipped with a multi-anode ACHINOS sensor. Robust calibrations with a UV laser and an $\mathrm{^{37}}$Ar source were performed to characterize the detector response to low energy events and achieve statistical background rejection. This work presents preliminary results from physics data taken with methane, leading to world-leading spin-dependent sensitivity under 2 $\mathrm{GeV/c^{2}}$ WIMP masses.

• Theoretical study of deeply virtual Compton scattering off $^4$He

  An interesting breakthrough in understanding the elusive inner content of nuclear systems in terms of partonic degrees of freedom is represented by deeply virtual Compton scattering processes. In such a way, tomographic view of nuclei and bound nucleons in coordinate space could be achieved for the first time. Moreover, nowadays experimental results for such a process considering $^4$He targets recently released at Jefferson Lab are available. In this talk, the recent results of our rigorous Impulse Approximation for DVCS off $^4$He, in terms of state-of-the-art models of the nuclear spectral function and of the parton structure of the bound proton, able to explain present data, has been shown.

• The charged $Z_c$ and $Z_b$ structures in a constituent quark model approach

  The nature of the recently discovered $Z_c$ and $Z_b$ structures is intriguing. Their charge forces its minimal quark content to be $Q\bar Q q\bar q$ (where $Q=\{c,b\}$ and $q=\{u,d\}$). In this work we perform a molecular coupled-channels calculation of the $I^G(J^{PC})=1^+(1^{+-})$ charm and bottom sectors in the framework of a constituent quark model which satisfactorily describes a wide range of properties of (non-)conventional hadrons containing heavy quarks. All the relevant channels are included for each sector, i.e.: The $D^{(\ast)}\bar D^{\ast}+h.c.$, $\pi J/\psi$ and $\rho\eta_c$ channels for the $Z_c$ and $B^{(\ast)}B^{\ast}$ and $\Upsilon(nS)\pi$ ($n=1,2,3$) channels for the $Z_b$ analysis. Possible structures of these resonances will be discussed

• Applying machine learning methods to prediction problems of lattice observables

  We discuss the prediction of critical behavior of lattice observables in SU(2) and SU(3) gauge theories. We show that feed-forward neural network, trained on the lattice configurations of gauge fields as input data, finds correlations with the target observable, which is also true in the critical region where the neural network has not been trained. We have verified that the neural network constructs a gauge-invariant function and this property does not change over the entire range of the parameter space.

• Next-to-leading power SCET in Higgs amplitudes induced by light quarks

  In this article, we report how to use the "plus-type" subtraction scheme to deal with endpoint divergences in $h\rightarrow\gamma\gamma$ or $gg\rightarrow h$ amplitudes induced by light quark loop, which can be formulated by next-to-leading power (NLP) SCET. This subtraction is ensured by two re-factorization conditions, which have been proven to all orders in $\alpha_s$. Based on these conditions, cutoffs emerge naturally after some re-arrangements to handle endpoint divergences and renormalization is compatible with that. Our formalism can analytically reproduce three-loop amplitudes up to $\ln^3(-M_h^2/m_b^2-i0)$ and resum to next-to-leading logarithm and beyond.

• Reduction in radioactivity-induced backgrounds using a novel active veto detector for rare event search experiments

  The results of a newly developed annular cryogenic phonon-mediated active veto detector are discussed which shows a significant reduction of radioactivity-induced backgrounds in rare event search experiments. The veto detector is made up of germanium weighing $\sim$500 g with an outer diameter of 76 mm and an inner diameter of 28 mm. The detector can host a 25 mm diameter germanium inner target detector of mass $\sim$10 g. A GEANT4 simulation with the active veto and inner target detector shows a gamma background reduction of 50 - 80% which is further improved (> 90%) with 4$\pi$ veto coverage. Experimental measurements with the detector assembly agree well with the simulation.

• Generalized parton distribution functions of $\rho$ meson

  We report our recent calculations for the generalized parton distribution functions of the $\rho$ meson with the help of a light-front constituent quark model. The electromagnetic form factors and structure functions of the system are given. Moreover, we also show our results for its gravitational form factors (or energy-momentum tensor form factors) and for other mechanical properties, like its mass distributions, pressures, share-forces, and $D-$term.

  We performed the experiment of p–$^{3}$He scattering at 65 MeV by using polarized proton beams and the newly constructed polarized $^{3}$He target. The proton analyzing power $A_{y}$, the 3He analyzing power $A^{T}_{y}$, and the spin correlation coefficient $C_{yy}$ were measured. In the conference, the experimental data were compared with the rigorous numerical calculations based on various nuclear potentials. Large discrepancies between the experimental data and the calculations were found in the $A^{T}_{y}$ and the $C_{yy}$ at the backward angles.
