• Quark Sivers Function at Small-$x$: Leading contribution from the Spin-Dependent Odderon

  We present the calculation of the leading contribution to the quark Sivers function at small-Bjorken $x$. This calculation uses the high energy scattering approximation and operator formalism developed by Kovchegov and Sievert to obtain a dominant contribution to the quark Sivers function coming from the spin-dependent odderon, in agreement with the results of Dong, Zhen, and Zhou. We then calculate this dominant contribution in the diquark model of the proton to obtain a small-$x$ estimate for the Sivers function.

• Azimuthal single- and double-spin asymmetries in semi-inclusive deep-inelastic lepton scattering by transversely polarized protons

  A comprehensive set of azimuthal single-spin and double-spin asymmetries in semi- inclusive leptoproduction of pions, charged kaons, protons, and antiprotons from transversely polarized protons is presented. These asymmetries include the previously published HERMES results on Collins and Sivers asymmetries, the analysis of which has been extended to include protons and antiprotons and also to an extraction in a three-dimensional kinematic binning and enlarged phase space. They are complemented by corresponding results for the remaining single-spin and double-spin asymmetries for transverse target-polarization orientation.

• Resummation for $tqH$ production

  We present results with soft-gluon resummation for the associated production of a single top quark and a Higgs boson. We present analytical results for the higher-order soft-gluon corrections and numerical results for the total cross section and top-quark transverse momentum and rapidity distributions at LHC energies.

  An overview is given of the results on charmonium production obtained by the ATLAS collaboration at the LHC. Recent preliminary measurements covering prompt and non-prompt production of $J/\psi$ and $\psi(2S)$ states in the range of high transverse momenta from 60 to 360~GeV are highlighted.

• Transverse Single Spin Asymmetries of Heavy Flavor Electrons and Charged Pions in 200 GeV $p+p^{\uparrow}$ Collisions at Midrapidity

  Transverse single spin asymmetries of particles produced in $p+p^{\uparrow}$ collisions provide insight on the partonic spin and momentum structure of hadrons; heavy flavor electrons provide access to initial state spin-momentum correlations of gluons in the proton, while charged pions provide access to initial and final state transverse spin effects. Charged particles are measured at midrapidity at PHENIX using the silicon vertex detector and central arm spectrometer, made of an electromagnetic calorimeter, a ring-imaging Cherenkov detector, and drift and pad chambers. Recent results for both electron and charged pion measurements from the 2015 running period will be presented.

• NLO inclusive $J/ψ$ photoproduction at large $P_T$ at HERA and the EIC

  We study inclusive $J/\psi$ photoproduction at NLO at large $P_T$ at HERA and the EIC. Our computation includes NLO QCD leading-$P_T$ corrections, QED contributions via an off-shell photon as well as those from $J/\psi$+charm channels. For the latter, we employ the variable-flavour-number scheme. Our results are found to agree with the latest HERA data by H1 and provide, for the first time, a reliable estimate of the EIC reach for such a measurement. Finally, we demonstrate the observability of $J/\psi$+charm production and the sensitivy to probe the non-perturbative charm content of the proton at high $x$, also known as intrinsic charm, at the EIC.

• All-order renormalization of electric charge in the Standard Model and beyond

  Electric charge, as defined in the Thomson limit of the electron--photon interaction vertex, is renormalized to all orders both in the Standard Model and in any spontaneously broken gauge theory with gauge group GxU(1) with a group factor U(1) that mixes with electromagnetic gauge symmetry. In the framework of the background-field method the charge renormalization constant $Z_e$ is directly obtained from the photon wave-function renormalization constant, similar to the situation in QED, which proves charge universality as a byproduct. Exploiting charge universality in arbitrary $R_\xi$ gauge by formulating the charge renormalization condition for a ``fake fermion'' that couples only via an infinitesimal electric charge, $Z_e$ can be expressed in terms of renormalization constants that are obtained solely from gauge-boson self-energies.

• Measuring single-top-associated Higgs production at the HL-LHC

  Precision measurements of top-associated Higgs production are an important ingredient to unravel the $\mathcal{CP}$ nature of the Higgs boson. In this work, we constraint the $\mathcal{CP}$ nature of the top-Yukawa coupling taking into account all relevant inclusive and differential Higgs boson measurements. Based upon this fit, we show that it is crucial to disentangle single- and di-top-associated Higgs production for tightening indirect constraints on a $\mathcal{CP}$-odd top-Yukawa coupling in the future. In this context, we propose an analysis strategy for measuring $tH$ production at the HL-LHC without relying on assumptions about the Higgs $\mathcal{CP}$ character.

• Geometry and causality for efficient multiloop representations

  Multi-loop scattering amplitudes constitute a serious bottleneck in current high-energy physics computations. Obtaining new integrand level representations with smooth behaviour is crucial for solving this issue, and surpassing the precision frontier. In this talk, we describe a new technology to rewrite multi-loop Feynman integrands in such a way that non-physical singularities are avoided. The method is inspired by the Loop-Tree Duality (LTD) theorem, and uses geometrical concepts to derive the causal structure of any multi-loop multi-leg scattering amplitude. This representation makes the integrand much more stable, allowing faster numerical simulations, and opens the path for novel re-interpretations of higher-order corrections in QFT.

• Background field method and generalized field redefinitions in effective field theories

  We study the non-linear background field redefinitions arising at the quantum level in a spontaneously broken effective gauge field theory. The non-linear field redefinitions are crucial for the symmetric (i.e. fulfilling all the relevant functional identities of the theory) renormalization of gauge-invariant operators. In a general $R_\xi$-gauge the classical background-quantum splitting is also non-linearly deformed by radiative corrections. In the Landau gauge these deformations vanish to all orders in the loop expansion.
