• Exact physical quantities of a competing spin chain in the thermodynamic limit

  We study the exact physical quantities of a competing spin chain which contains many interesting and meaningful couplings including the nearest neighbor, next nearest neighbor, chiral three spins, Dzyloshinsky-Moriya interactions and unparallel boundary magnetic fields in the thermodynamic limit. We obtain the density of zero roots, surface energies and elementary excitations in different regimes of model parameters. Due to the competition of various interactions, the surface energy and excited spectrum show many different pictures from those of the Heisenberg spin chain.

• Sensitivity on the electromagnetic dipole moments of the tau-lepton at the CLIC

  In this paper we established model independent bounds on the anomalous magnetic and electric dipole moments of the tau-lepton using the process $\gamma\gamma \to \tau^+\tau^-}$. We use data collected with the future $e^+ e^-$ linear collider such as the CLIC at $\sqrt{s}$ = 380, 1500, 3000 GeV, and we consider systematic uncertainties of $\delta_{sys}$ = 0$\%$, 3$\%$, 5$\%$. The theory predictions are a very good prospect for probing the dipole moments of the tau-lepton at the future $e^ + e^-$ linear collider at the $\gamma\gamma$ mode.

  Understanding the proton mass in quantum chromodynamics (QCD) is a very important and current topic in hadronic physics. The decomposition (sum rule) of the proton mass is not unique, and different sum rules, which are related to the QCD energy-momentum tensor, can be found in the literature. We review and compare these sum rules and identify open questions in this field.

• Top quark pair and single top cross sections and ttX (CMS)

  Latest results on inclusive and differential top quark pair and single top quark production cross sections are presented using proton-proton collision data collected by the CMS experiment. The differential cross sections are measured as a function of various kinematic observables of the top quarks and the jets and leptons of the event final state. The results are confronted with precise theory calculations and used to constrain Standard Model parameters. Measurements are performed also with high pT top quarks, i.e., in boosted regimes.

• Reduction in radioactivity-induced backgrounds using a novel active veto detector for rare event search experiments

  The results of a newly developed annular cryogenic phonon-mediated active veto detector are discussed which shows a significant reduction of radioactivity-induced backgrounds in rare event search experiments. The veto detector is made up of germanium weighing $\sim$500 g with an outer diameter of 76 mm and an inner diameter of 28 mm. The detector can host a 25 mm diameter germanium inner target detector of mass $\sim$10 g. A GEANT4 simulation with the active veto and inner target detector shows a gamma background reduction of 50 - 80% which is further improved (> 90%) with 4$\pi$ veto coverage. Experimental measurements with the detector assembly agree well with the simulation.

• Hard exclusive $\pi^{+}n$ electro production beam spin asymmetries off the proton in the GPD and TDA regimes

  Hard exclusive $\pi^{+}$n electro-production can be used to gain access to the 3D nucleon structure. The QCD factorisation mechanism in the "nearly forward region" ($t/Q^{2}$ small) allows a description by Generalized Parton Distributions (GPDs), while for the "nearly backward" kinematic region ($u/Q^{2}$ small) a description based on nucleon to pion transitions (TDAs) is available. The paper presents a measurement of single beam spin asymmetries to extract the $A^{\sin\phi}_{LU}$ moments and the related cross section ratio $\sigma_{LT^\prime}/\sigma_{0}$ from the hard exclusive $\pi^{+}$ channel off the unpolarized hydrogen target in a wide range of kinematics based on data taken with the CLAS spectrometer at Jefferson Lab. In addition, under forward angles a detailed multidimensional study will be presented based on CLAS12 data and compared to theoretical predictions.

• Backward-Angle (u-Channel) Meson Production from JLab 12~GeV Hall C to EIC

  The recent exclusive backward-angle electroproduction of omega from Jefferson Lab Hall C electron-proton fixed-target scattering experiments above the resonance region hints at a new domain of applicability of QCD factorization in a unique u-channel kinematics regime. Thanks to this effort, the interest in studying nucleon structure through u-channel meson production observables has grown significantly. In the fixed target configuration, theu-channel meson electroproduction observables feature a unique interaction picture: the target proton absorbs nearly all momentum induced by virtual photons and recoils forward, while the produced mesons (such as omega or pions) are left behind almost at rest near the target station. In this presentation, We provide a summary of the key observations of the existing u-channel meson production results, update-to-date theory insights, and a path to further exploration from JLab 12 GeV Hall C program to the future Electron-Ion Colliders

• Ergodic Archimedean dimers

  We study perfect matchings, or close-packed dimer coverings, of finite sections of the eleven Archimedean lattices and give a constructive proof showing that any two perfect matchings can be transformed into each other using small sets of local ring-exchange moves. This result has direct consequences for formulating quantum dimer models with a resonating valence bond ground state, i.e., a superposition of all dimer coverings compatible with the boundary conditions. On five of the composite Archimedean lattices we supplement the sufficiency proof with translationally invariant reference configurations that prove the strict necessity of the sufficient terms with respect to ergodicity. We provide examples of and discuss frustration-free deformations of the quantum dimer models on two tripartite lattices.

• Anisotropic ionization threshold and directional sensitivity in solid state DM detectors

  The threshold displacement energy for nuclear recoils depends strongly on the direction of the recoiling nucleus with respect to the crystal lattice. Assuming that similar dependence holds for the ionization threshold for low energy nuclear recoils, we explore the consequences of the resulting directional dependence of the observable event rate in ionization detectors. For low mass dark matter, this effect leads to a daily modulation in the event rate. We discuss how this effect can be utilized to separate the DM signal from the solar neutrino background and how the structure of the modulation signal can be used to identify the type of the DM-nucleon coupling.
