• Simultaneous Extraction of Unpolarized PDFs and Nuclear Effects

  We present a new global QCD analysis of unpolarized parton distribution functions (PDFs) and nuclear effects including for the first time data from the SeaQuest and MARATHON experiments in addition to high-energy weak-boson-production data from the Tevatron and Large Hadron Collider. Simultaneously extracting the PDFs and nuclear effects, we examine the impact of the SeaQuest and MARATHON data on the light-quark sea asymmetry and the EMC ratios of deuterium, helium, and tritium.

• Helix string fragmentation and charged particle correlations with ATLAS

  Correlations between charged particles provide important insight into the hadronization process. The analysis of the momentum difference between charged hadrons in pp, p-lead, and lead-lead collisions at LHC is performed by the ATLAS Collaboration in order to study the dynamics of hadron formation. The spectra of correlated hadron chains are explored and compared to the predictions based on the quantized fragmentation of a three dimensional QCD helix string. This provides an alternative view of the two-particle correlation phenomenon typically attributed to the Bose-Einstein interference.

• Ultra-high energy neutrinos searches with the Pierre Auger Observatory

  In the EeV range, neutrinos are expected to be produced by ultra-high energy cosmic rays interactions with the Cosmic Microwave Background during propagation in the Universe. We report on the search for ultra-high energy neutrinos in data collected with the Surface Detector of the Pierre Auger Observatory. The searches are most efficient in the zenith angle range from 60 degrees to 95 degrees with tau neutrinos skimming in the Earth playingdominant role. The present non-detection of UHE neutrinos in the Pierre Auger Observatory excludes the most optimistic scenarios of neutrino production in terms of UHE cosmic rays chemical composition and cosmological evolution of the acceleration sites. We also report on the searches for neutrinos in coincidence with the recent Gravitational Wave events detected by LIGO/Virgo.

• Study of the hyperon-nucleon interaction via final-state interactions in exclusive reactions

  A novel approach that allows access to long-sought information on the Hyperon-Nucleon (YN) interaction was developed by producing a hyperon beam within a few-body nuclear system, and studying final-state interactions. The determination of polarisation observables, and specifically the beam spin asymmetry, in exclusive reactions allows a detailed study of the various final-state interactions and provides us with the tools needed to isolate kinematic regimes where the YN interaction dominates. High-statistics data collected using the CLAS detector housed in Hall-B of the Thomas Jefferson laboratory allows us to obtain a large set of polarisation observables and place stringent constraints on the underlying dynamics of the YN interaction.

• High-energy logarithmic corrections to the QCD component of same-sign W-pair production

  We describe the calculation of the QCD contribution to same-sign $W$-pair production, $pp\to e^\pm \nu_e \mu^\pm \nu_\mu jj$, resumming all contributions scaling as $\alpha_W^4 \alpha_s^{2+k}\log^k(\hat s/p_\perp^2)$ [arXiv:2107.06818]. These leading logarithmic contributions are enhanced by typical cuts used for Vector Boson Scattering (VBS) studies. We show that while the cross sections are little affected by these corrections, other more exclusive observables relevant for experimental studies are affected more significantly.

• A brief note on the G$_2$ Affleck-Kennedy-Lieb-Tasaki chain

  We consider the valence bond solid (VBS) state built of singlet pairs of fundamental representations and projected onto adjoint representations of the exceptional Lie group G$_2$. The two-point correlation function in the VBS state is non-vanishing only for nearest neighbours, but possesses finite string order. We construct a parent Hamiltonian for the VBS state, which constitutes the G$_2$ analog of the famous AKLT chain.

• Functional renormalization group for fermions on a one dimensional lattice at arbitrary filling

  A formalism based on the fermionic functional-renormalization-group approach to interacting electron models defined on a lattice is presented. One-loop flow equations for the coupling constants and susceptibilities in the particle-particle and particle-hole channels are derived in weak-coupling conditions. It is shown that lattice effects manifest themselves through the curvature of the spectrum and the dependence of the coupling constants on momenta. This method is then applied to the one-dimensional extended Hubbard model; we thoroughly discuss the evolution of the phase diagram, and in particular the fate of the bond-centered charge-density-wave phase, as the system is doped away from half-filling. Our findings are compared to the predictions of the field-theory continuum limit and available numerical results.

• Quantum robustness of the toric code in a parallel field on the honeycomb and triangular lattice

  We investigate the quantum robustness of the topological order in the toric code on the honeycomb lattice in the presence of a uniform parallel field. For a field in $z$-direction, the low-energy physics is in the flux-free sector and can be mapped to the transverse-field Ising model on the honeycomb lattice. One finds a second-order quantum phase transition in the 3D Ising$^\star$ universality class for both signs of the field. The same is true for a postive field in $x$-direction where an analogue mapping in the charge-free sector yields a ferromagnetic transverse-field Ising model on the triangular lattice and the phase transition is still 3D Ising$^\star$. In contrast, for negative $x$-field, the charge-free sector is mapped to the highly frustrated antiferromagnetic transverse-field Ising model on the triangular lattice which is known to host a quantum phase transition in the 3D XY$^\star$ universality class. Further, the charge-free sector does not always contain the low-energy physics for negative $x$-fields and a first-order phase transition to the polarized phase in the charge-full sector takes place at larger negative field values. We quantify the location of this transition by comparing quantum Monte Carlo simulations and high-field series expansions. The full extension of the topological phase in the presence of $x$- and $z$-fields is determined by perturbative linked-cluster expansions using a full graph decomposition. Extrapolating the high-order series of the charge and the flux gap allows to estimate critical exponents of the gap closing. This analysis indicates that the topological order breaks down by critical lines of 3D Ising$^\star$ and 3D XY$^\star$ type with interesting potential multi-critical crossing points. All findings for the toric code on the honeycomb lattice can be transferred exactly to the toric code on the triangular lattice.

• Eikonal Dressed Gluon Exponentiation to study power corrections to Thrust, C-parameter, and Angularity

  Dressed Gluon Exponentiation is a well known method to study power corrections. We present here its eikonalized version -- Eikonal Dressed Gluon Exponentiation (EDGE) \cite{Agarwal:2020uxi} to determine the dominant power corrections to shape variables such as Thrust, $ C $- parameter, and Angularity. Our method remarkably simplifies the calculations.

• Three dimensional topological field theories and Nahm sum formulas

  It is known that a large class of characters of 2d conformal field theories (CFTs) can be written in the form of a Nahm sum. In [D. Zagier, in Frontiers in number theory, physics, and geometry II, Springer, Berlin (2007)], D. Zagier identified a list of Nahm sum expressions that are modular functions under a congruence subgroup of $SL(2,\mathbb{Z})$, which can be thought of as candidates for characters of rational CFTs. Motivated by the observation that the same formulas appear as the half-indices of certain 3d $\mathcal{N}=2$ supersymmetric gauge theories, we perform a general search over low-rank 3d $\mathcal{N}=2$ Abelian Chern-Simons matter theories which either flow to unitary TFTs or $\mathcal{N}=4$ rank-zero SCFTs in the infrared. These are exceptional classes of 3d theories, which are expected to support rational and $C_2$-cofinite chiral algebras on their boundary. We compare and contrast our results with Zagier's and comment on a possible generalization of Nahm's conjecture.
