• A decoherence explanation of the gallium neutrino anomaly

  Gallium radioactive source experiments have reported a neutrino-induced event rate about 20% lower than expected with a high statistical significance. We present an explanation of this observation assuming quantum decoherence of the neutrinos in the gallium detectors at a scale of 2 m. This explanation is consistent with global data on neutrino oscillations, including solar neutrinos, if decoherence effects decrease quickly with energy, for instance with a power law $E_\nu^{-r}$ with r$\simeq$ 12. Our proposal does not require the presence of sterile neutrinos but implies a modification of the standard quantum mechanical evolution equations for active neutrinos.

• Subnucleon fluctuations in coherent and incoherent ultra-peripheral AA collisions at LHC and RHIC with the Sartre event generator

  Sartre has been extensively used for describing photon-nuclei processes at the electron-ion collider (EIC) as well as ultra-peripheral collisions (UPC) at LHC and RHIC. Sartre is an event generator which implements the dipole model for DIS, and models the transverse geometry of the target nucleus or proton in coordinate space. It uses the Good-Walker mechanism for simulating fluctuations which contribute to the incoherent cross section for which the target breaks up after the interaction. With improved precision of UPC measurements in the last years, a detailed test of the dipole model has become possible, and Sartre's model was found lacking. In these proceedings we add subnucleon fluctuations to the nucleus and show that this is sufficient for describing the vast majority of the present measurements. We also find that for larger momentum transfers in the nucleus, which probes gluon fluctuations at higher resolution, the current complexity of the model may not suffice. Future measurements at the LHC, RHIC and especially the EIC has the potential to reveal these gluon vacuum fluctuations and glean novel insights into the self-interacting quantum field of QCD.

• Phenomenological extraction of a universal TMD fragmentation function from single hadron production in $e^+ e^-$ annihilations

  Factorizing the cross section for single hadron production in $e^+e^-$ annihilations, differential in $z_h$, $P_T$ and thrust, is a highly non trivial task. We have devised a factorization scheme that allows us to recast the $e^+e^- \to hX$ cross section in the convolution of a calculable hard coefficient and a universal Transverse Momentum Dependent (TMD) Fragmentation Function (FF). The predictions obtained from our NLO-LL perturbative computation, together with a simple ansatz to model the non-perturbative part of the TMD, are applied to the experimental measurements of the BELLE Collaboration for the phenomenological extraction of this process independent TMD FF.

• Forward Higgs production at NLO using Lipatov's high energy effective action

  We use Lipatov's high energy effective action to determine the next-to-leading order corrections to Higgs production in the forward region. As a new element we provide a proper definition of the desired next-to-leading order coefficient within the high energy effective action framework, extending a previously proposed prescription. We further propose a subtraction mechanism to achieve for this coefficient a stable cancellation of real and virtual infra-red singularities in the presence of external off-shell legs and discuss aspects related to choice of a reference scale for high energy resummation.

• A general-mass scheme for prompt charm production at hadron colliders

  In these proceedings, we apply the recently developed S-ACOT-MPS factorization scheme at the next-to-leading order to prompt charm production at hadron colliders. It provides a good agreement with experimental data on charm meson production measured by LHCb at 7 and 13 TeV. The low-$p_T$ data are on the margins of the theoretical error bands, emphasizing the importance of including contributions beyond the next-to-leading order.

• Two-parton scattering in the high-energy limit: climbing two- and three-Reggeon ladders

  We review recent progress on the calculation of scattering amplitudes in the high-energy limit. We start by illustrating the shockwave formalism, which allows one to calculate amplitudes as iterated solutions of rapidity evolution equations. We then focus on our recent results regarding 2 -> 2 parton scattering. We present the calculation of the imaginary part of the amplitude, at next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy in the high-energy logarithms, formally to all orders, and in practice to 13 loops. We then discuss the computation of the real part of the amplitude at next-to-next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy and through four loops. Both computations are carried in full colour, and provide new insight into the analytic structure of scattering amplitudes and their infrared singularity structure.

• On the discrepancy between the FOPT and CIPT approaches for hadronic tau spectral function moments

  The discrepancy between the FOPT and CIPT approaches for hadronic tau spectral function moments constitutes the major theoretical uncertainty for strong coupling determinations from tau decay data. We show that the discrepancy can be analytically understood since the Borel representations -- which have been assumed to be identical for both approaches previously -- differ in the presence of IR renormalons. This implies that the OPE condensate corrections are different for both approaches and that the discrepancy may eventually be reconciled. In the talk we explain the difference and some mathematical aspects of the FOPT and CIPT Borel representations and show numerical results.

• Dark matter searches with mono-photon signature at future e$^+$e$^-$ colliders

  As any e$^+$e$^-$ scattering process can be accompanied by a hard photon emission from the initial state radiation, the analysis of the energy spectrum and angular distributions of those photons can be used to search for hard processes with an invisible final state. Thus high energy e$^+$e$^-$ colliders offer a unique possibility for the most general search of Dark matter based on the mono-photon signature. We consider production of DM particles via a mediator at the International Linear Collider (ILC) and Compact Linear Collider (CLIC) experiments taking into account detector effects within the DELPHES fast simulation framework. Limits on the light DM production in a generic model are set for a wide range of mediator masses and widths. For mediator masses up to the centre-of-mass energy of the collider, results from the mono-photon analysis are more stringent than the limits expected from direct resonance searches in Standard Model decay channels.

• Impact of heavy-quark production measurements in the CT18 global QCD analysis of PDFs

  We discuss the impact of heavy-flavor production measurements in semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering at HERA on the CTEQ-TEA PDFs. In particular, we study the impact of the latest charm and bottom production measurements from the H1 and ZEUS collaborations on the gluon, and the interplay of these measurements with the data ensemble of the recent CT18 global QCD analysis.

• A simple guide from machine learning outputs to statistical criteria in particle physics

  In this paper we propose ways to incorporate Machine Learning training outputs into a study of statistical significance. We describe these methods in supervised classification tasks using a CNN and a DNN output, and unsupervised learning based on a VAE. As use cases, we consider two physical situations where Machine Learning are often used: high-$p_T$ hadronic activity, and boosted Higgs in association with a massive vector boson.
