• Quasi-particle functional renormalisation group calculations in the two-dimensional t-t'-Hubbard model

  We extend and apply a recently introduced quasi-particle functional renormalisation group scheme to the two-dimensional Hubbard model with next-nearest-neighbour hopping and away from half filling. We confirm the generation of superconducting correlations in some regions of the phase diagram, but also find that the inclusion of self-energy feedback by means of a decreasing quasi-particle weight can suppress superconducting tendencies more than anti-ferromagnetic correlations by which they are generated. As a supplement, we provide sample results for the self-energy in second-order perturbation theory and address some conceptual matters.

• On correlation functions for the open XXZ chain with non-longitudinal boundary fields: The case with a constraint

  This paper is a continuation of [J. Phys. A: Math. Theor. 55, 405203 (2022)], in which a set of matrix elements of local operators was computed for the XXZ spin-1/2 open chain with a particular case of unparallel boundary fields. Here, we extend these results to the more general case in which both fields are non-longitudinal and related by one constraint, allowing for a partial description of the spectrum by usual Bethe equations. More precisely, the complete spectrum and eigenstates can be characterized within the Separation of Variables (SoV) framework. One uses here the fact that, under the constraint, a part of this SoV spectrum can be described via solutions of a usual, homogeneous, TQ-equation, with corresponding transfer matrix eigenstates coinciding with generalized Bethe states. We explain how to generically compute the action of a basis of local operators on such kind of states, and this under the most general boundary condition on the last site of the chain. As a result, we can compute the matrix elements of some of these basis elements in any eigenstate described by the homogenous TQ-equation. Assuming, following a conjecture of Nepomechie and Ravanini, that the ground state itself can be described in this framework, we obtain multiple integral representations for these matrix elements in the half-infinite chain limit, generalizing those previously obtained in the case of longitudinal boundary fields and in the case of the special boundary conditions considered in [J. Phys. A: Math. Theor. 55, 405203 (2022)].

  The extraordinary success of the Standard Model asks for a more rigorous control beyond the perturbative approach, which is affected by mathematical problems (interaction picture and canonical quantization, non-covergence of the perturbative series, triviality results for $\phi^4$ model and related models, etc.). We shall briefly discuss some non-perturbative results concerning the crucial role and realization of symmetry breakings in the Standard Model.

• A differential-geometry approach to operator mixing in massless QCD-like theories and Poincaré-Dulac theorem

  We review recent progress on operator mixing in the light of the theory of canonical forms for linear systems of differential equations and, in particular, of the Poincar\'e-Dulac theorem. We show that the matrix $A(g) = -\frac{\gamma(g)}{\beta(g)} =\frac{\gamma_0}{\beta_0}\frac{1}{g} + \cdots $ determines which different cases of operator mixing can occur, and we review their classification. We derive a sufficient condition for $A(g)$ to be set in the one-loop exact form $A(g) = \frac{\gamma_0}{\beta_0}\frac{1}{g}$. Finally, we discuss the consequences of the unitarity requirement in massless QCD-like theories, and we demonstrate that $\gamma_0$ is always diagonalizable if the theory is conformal invariant and unitary in its free limit at $g =0$.

• Global LHC constraints on electroweak-inos with SModelS v2.3

  Electroweak-inos, superpartners of the electroweak gauge and Higgs bosons, play a special role in supersymmetric theories. Their intricate mixing into chargino and neutralino mass eigenstates leads to a rich phenomenology, which makes it difficult to derive generic limits from LHC data. In this paper, we present a global analysis of LHC constraints for promptly decaying electroweak-inos in the context of the minimal supersymmetric standard model, exploiting the SMODELS software package. Combining up to 16 ATLAS and CMS searches for which electroweak-ino efficiency maps are available in SMODELS, we study which combinations maximise the sensitivity in different regions of the parameter space, how fluctuations in the data in individual analyses influence the global likelihood, and what is the resulting exclusion power of the combination compared to the analysis-by-analysis approach.

• Hilbert space structure and classical limit of the low energy sector of U(N) quantum Hall ferromagnets

  Using the Lieb–Mattis ordering theorem of electronic energy levels, we identify and construct the Hilbert space of the low energy sector of U(N) quantum Hall/Heisenberg ferromagnets at filling factor M for L Landau/lattice sites. The carrier Hilbert space of irreducible representations of U(N) is described by rectangular Young tableaux of M rows and L columns, and associated with Grassmannian phase spaces U(N)/U(M)×U(N-M). Replacing U(N)-spin operators by their expectation values in a Grassmannian coherent state allows for a semi-classical treatment of the low energy U(N)-spin-wave coherent excitations (skyrmions) of U(N) quantum Hall ferromagnets in terms of Grasmannian nonlinear sigma models.

• Higher categorical symmetries and gauging in two-dimensional spin systems

  We present a framework to systematically investigate higher categorical symmetries in two-dimensional spin systems. Though exotic, such generalised symmetries have been shown to naturally arise as dual symmetries upon gauging invertible symmetries. Our framework relies on an approach to dualities whereby dual quantum lattice models only differ in a choice of module 2-category over some input fusion 2-category. Given an arbitrary two-dimensional spin system with an ordinary symmetry, we explain how to perform the (twisted) gauging of any of its sub-symmetries. We then demonstrate that the resulting model has a symmetry structure encoded into the Morita dual of the input fusion 2-category with respect to the corresponding module 2-category. We exemplify this approach by specialising to certain finite group generalisations of the transverse-field Ising model, for which we explicitly define lattice symmetry operators organised into fusion 2-categories of higher representations of higher groups.

• PMC$_\infty$: Infinite-Order Scale-Setting method using the Principle of Maximum Conformality and preserving the Intrinsic Conformality

  We show results for Thrust and C-parameter in $e^+ e^-$ annihilation to 3 jets obtained using the recently developed new method for eliminating the scale ambiguity and the scheme dependence in pQCD namely the Infinite-Order Scale-Setting method using the Principle of Maximum Conformality (PMC$_\infty$). This method preserves an important underlying property of gauge theories: intrinsic Conformality (iCF). It leads to a remarkably efficient method to eliminate the conventional renormalization scale ambiguity at any order in pQCD. A comparison with Conventional Scale Setting method (CSS) is also shown.
