• Renormalizable extension of the Abelian Higgs-Kibble model with a dim.6 derivative operator

  We present a new approach to the consistent subtraction of a non power-counting renormalizable extension of the Abelian Higgs-Kibble (HK) model supplemented by a dim. 6 derivative-dependent operator controlled by the parameter $z$. A field-theoretic representation of the physical Higgs scalar by a gauge-invariant variable is used in order to formulate the theory by exploiting a novel differential equation, controlling the dependence of the quantized theory on $z$. These results pave the way to the consistent subtraction by a finite number of physical parameters of some non-power-counting renormalizable models possibly of direct relevance to the study of the Higgs potential at the LHC.

  David Rowe was a highly respected theoretical physicist who made seminal contributions that improved our understanding of the atomic nucleus, in particular of the collective behaviour of its constituent nucleons - results he often obtained with the use of sophisticated group-theoretical methods. He will also be remembered as the (co-)author of monographs on nuclear physics, written with the scientific rigour that was characteristic of his research.

  In this paper the production cross-section $pp\rightarrow (\gamma, Z) \to \nu_\tau \bar \nu_\tau \gamma+X$ in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13, 14, 33\hspace{0.8mm}TeV$ is presented. Furthermore, we estimate bounds at the $95\%$ C.L. on the dipole moments of the $\tau$-neutrino using integrated luminosity of ${\cal L}= 100, 500, 1000, 3000 \hspace{0.8mm}fb^{-1}$ collected with the ATLAS detector at the LHC and we consider systematic uncertainties of $\delta_{sys} = 0\%, \, 5\%, \,10\%$. We found that the current and future LHC bounds are weaker than other experiments reported in the literature. However, it is shown that the process under consideration is a good prospect for probing the dipole moments of the $\tau$-neutrino at the LHC.

  In this proceedings, we present our first measurements of $\phi$ meson and $\Xi^-$ hyperon production in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 3 GeV. Various models including thermal and transport model calculations are compared to data, these results imply that the matter produced in the 3 GeV Au+Au collisions is considerably different from that at higher energies.

• All order merging of high energy and soft collinear resummation

  We present a method of merging the exclusive LO-matched high energy resummation of High Energy Jets (HEJ) with the parton shower of PYTHIA which preserves the accuracy of the LO cross sections and the logarithmic accuracy of both resummation schemes across all of phase space. Predictions produced with this merging prescription are presented with comparisons to data from experimental studies and suggestions are made for further observables and experimental cuts which highlight the importance of both high energy and soft-collinear effects.

• Intermittency analysis of charged hadrons generated in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$= 2.76 TeV and 5.02 TeV

  Local density fluctuations are expected to scale as a universal power-law when the system approaches critical point. Such power-law fluctuations are studied within the framework of intermittency through the measurement of normalized factorial moments in ($\eta$, $\phi$) phase space. Observations and results from the intermittency analysis performed for charged particles in Pb-Pb collisions using PYTHIA8/Angantyr at 2.76 TeV and 5.02 TeV are reported. We observe no scaling behaviour in the particle generation for any of the centrality studied in narrow p$_T$ bins. The scaling exponent $\nu$ shows no dependence on the centrality ranges.
