• Results on high energy galactic cosmic rays from the DAMPE space mission

  DAMPE (Dark Matter Particle Explorer) is a satellite-born experiment launched in 2015 in a sun-synchronous orbit at 500 km altitude, and it has been taking data in stable conditions ever since. Its main goals include the spectral measurements up to very high energies, cosmic electrons/positrons and gamma rays up to tens of TeV, and protons and nuclei up to hundreds of TeV. The detector's main features include the 32 radiation lengths deep calorimeter and large geometric acceptance, making DAMPE one of the most powerful space instruments in operation, covering with high statistics and small systematics the high energy frontier up to several hundreds TeV. The results of spectral measurements of different species are shown and discussed.

• Efficient scheme for time-dependent thermal pure quantum state: Application to the Kitaev model with armchair edges

  We consider the time-dependent thermal pure quantum state method and introduce the efficient scheme to evaluate the change in physical quantities induced by the time-dependent perturbations, which has been proposed in our previous paper [H. Taguchi et al., Phys. Rev. B 105, 125137 (2022)]. Here, we treat the Kitaev model to consider the Majorana-mediated spin transport, as an example. We demonstrate how efficient our scheme is to evaluate spin oscillations induced by the magnetic field pulse.

• Point sources of ultra-high-energy neutrinos: Minimalist predictions for near-future discovery

  The discovery of ultra-high-energy neutrinos, with energies above 100 PeV, may soon be within reach of upcoming neutrino telescopes. We present a robust framework to compute the statistical significance of point-source discovery via the detection of neutrino multiplets. We apply it to the radio array component of IceCube-Gen2. To identify a source with $3\sigma$ significance, IceCube-Gen2 will need to detect a triplet, at best, and an octuplet, at worst, depending on whether the source is steady-state or transient, and on its position in the sky. The discovery, or absence, of sources significantly constrains the properties of the source population.

• New determination of the production cross section for secondary positrons and electrons in the Galaxy

  The cosmic-ray fluxes of electrons and positrons ($e^{±}$) are measured with high precision by the space-borne particle spectrometer AMS-02. To infer a precise interpretation of the production processes for $e^{±}$ in our Galaxy, it is necessary to have an accurate description of the secondary component, produced by the interaction of cosmic-ray proton and helium with the interstellar medium atoms. We determine new analytical functions of the Lorentz invariant cross section for the production of $e^±$ by fitting data from collider experiments. The total differential cross section $d\sigma/dT_{e^±}(p+p→ e^±+X)$ is predicted with an uncertainty of about 5-7% in the energies relevant for AMS-02 positron flux. • Searches for top-associated dark matter production at the LHC

  Recent searches for dark matter (DM) produced in association with top quarks from the ATLAS and CMS experiments using data collected between 2015 and 2018 are presented. These comprise searches from both experiments for DM in association with a single top quark; an improved ATLAS search for DM in single lepton $t\bar{t}$ final states; an ATLAS search for stop squarks decaying to a top quark, a charm quark and neutralinos; and a CMS search for DM produced in association with a pair of top quarks or a single top. These analyses feature novel machine learning and advanced background estimation techniques. No statistically significant excess is observed in any of these searches.

• Constraining the SMEFT at present and future colliders

  We present results from SMEFiT3.0, a global SMEFT fit of Higgs, top quark, and diboson production data from the LHC. Our updated analysis includes recent inclusive and differential measurements from the LHC Run II, together with the exact implementation of electroweak precision observables (EWPOs) from LEP and SLD. We then analyse the impact of HL-LHC measurements by adding to SMEFiT3.0 the projections obtained by extrapolating from Run II data. Finally we estimate the potential of two proposed high-energy circular $e^+e^-$ colliders, the FCC-ee and the CEPC, in further improving the bounds on the SMEFT parameters.

• Search for heavy scalar or pseudoscalar states in $\mathrm{t \bar{t}}$ events at CMS

  A search for scalar or pseudoscalar states decaying to a top quark-antiquark pair ($\mathrm{t \bar{t}}$), using $138 \mathrm{ fb}^{-1}$ of pp collision data taken at $\sqrt{s} = 13 \mathrm{ TeV}$ using the CMS detector, is presented. Events with one or two leptons are analyzed using the invariant $\mathrm{t \bar{t}}$ mass ($m_{\mathrm{t \bar{t}}}$) as well as angular and spin correlation observables. An excess in the data is observed for low values of $m_{\mathrm{t \bar{t}}}$, preferring a pseudoscalar over a scalar hypothesis. It is interpreted in terms of a generic model of (pseudo)scalar boson production, as well as a simplified model of a $\mathrm{t \bar{t}}$ bound state ($\eta_{\mathrm{t}}$), yielding good agreement with the data. Moreover, limits on the couplings of additional (pseudo)scalar bosons to top quarks are set.

• Probes of flavour symmetry and violation with top quarks in ATLAS and CMS

  Results are presented of searches and measurements in the top quark sector by the ATLAS and CMS experiments. These analyses use data from proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of $13$ TeV, recorded during Run 2 at the Large Hadron Collider and corresponding to integrated luminosities of 138-140 fb$^{-1}$. Searches are carried out for charged lepton flavour violation, baryon number violation and the presence of neutral heavy leptons. A precise measurement of lepton flavour universality between electrons and muons originating from top quark-antiquark events is also presented.

• The magic of top quarks

  In recent years, there has been increasing collaboration between the fields of quantum computing and high energy physics, including using LHC processes such as top (anti-)quark pair production to perform high energy tests of quantum entanglement. In this proceeding, I will review another interesting property from quantum computing ("magic"), that is needed to make quantum computers with genuine computational advantage over their classical counterparts. How to make and enhance magic in general quantum systems is an open question, such that new insights are always useful. To this end, we will show that the LHC naturally produces magic top quarks, providing a novel playground for further study in this area.

• Measurements of inclusive and differential cross-sections of $t\bar{t}\gamma$ production in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV with the ATLAS detector

  Cross-section measurements of the associated production of a top quark pair and a photon ($t\bar{t}\gamma$) are performed with an integrated luminosity of 140 fb$^{-1}$ of proton−proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC. The measurement focuses on $t\bar{t}\gamma$ topologies where the photon is radiated from an initial-state parton or one of the top quarks. The differential cross-sections are measured for variables characterising the photon, lepton and jet kinematic properties. The distribution of the photon transverse momentum is used to constrain effective field theory operators related to the electroweak dipole moments of the top quark.
