• Dynamical edge modes in Yang-Mills theory

  We study the symplectic structure and dynamics of Yang-Mills theory in the presence of a boundary. We introduce a decomposition of the fields on a Cauchy slice such that the symplectic form splits cleanly into independent bulk and edge parts. However, we find that the dynamics inherently couples these two symplectic sectors, a feature arising from the non-abelian nature of the gauge group. This is shown by extending to Yang-Mills theory the dynamical edge mode boundary condition recently introduced in Maxwell theory. We finish with analyses of the weak-field expansion and the horizon limit, finding in the latter case that the dynamical interplay between bulk and edge degrees of freedom persists.

• New developments in KKMChh: Quark-level exponentiated radiative corrections and semi-analytical results

  We describe a new semi-analytical program, KKhhFoam, which provides a simplified framework for testing the amplitude-level exponentiation scheme (CEEX) of the full KKMChh program in the semi-soft limit. The structure of the KKhhFoam integrand is also helpful for elucidating the structure of CEEX. We also discuss the representation of ISR in KKMChh and compare the ISR added by KKMChh to the effect of switching to a QED-corrected PDF, at the individual quark level, and suggest a new approach to running KKMChh with QED-corrected PDFs.

• On the scalar $\pi K$ form factor beyond the elastic region

  Pion-kaon ($\pi K$) final states, often appearing in heavy-particle decays at the precision frontier, are important for Standard-Model tests, to describe crossed channels with exotic states, and for spectroscopy of excited kaon resonances. We construct a representation of the $\pi K$ $S$-wave form factor using the elastic $\pi K$ scattering phase shift via dispersion relations in the elastic region and extend this model into the inelastic region using resonance exchange, while maintaining unitarity and the correct analytic structure. As a first application, we successfully described the $\tau \to K_S \pi \nu_\tau$ spectrum to not only achieve a better distinction between $S$- and $P$-wave contributions, but also to provide an improved estimate of the $CP$ asymmetry produced by a tensor operator as well as the forward-backward asymmetry, both of which can be confronted with future data at Belle II. • Non-linear integral equations for the XXX spin-1/2 quantum chain with non-diagonal boundary fields

  The XXX spin-$\frac{1}{2}$ Heisenberg chain with non-diagonal boundary fields represents a cornerstone model in the study of integrable systems with open boundaries. Despite its significance, solving this model exactly has remained a formidable challenge due to the breaking of $U(1)$ symmetry. Building on the off-diagonal Bethe Ansatz (ODBA), we derive a set of nonlinear integral equations (NLIEs) that encapsulate the exact spectrum of the model. For $U(1)$ symmetric spin-$\frac{1}{2}$ chains such NLIEs involve two functions $a(x)$ and $\bar{a}(x)$ coupled by an integration kernel with short-ranged elements. The solution functions show characteristic features for arguments at some length scale which grows logarithmically with system size $N$. In the case considered here the $U(1)$ symmetry is broken by the non-diagonal boundary fields and the equations involve a novel third function $c(x)$, which captures the inhomogeneous contributions to the $T$-$Q$ relation in the ODBA. The kernel elements coupling this function to the standard ones are long-ranged and lead for the ground-state to a winding phenomenon. In $\log(1+a(x))$ and $\log(1+\bar a(x))$ we observe a steep change by $2\pi$i at a characteristic scale $x_1$ of the argument. Other features appear at a value $x_0$ which is of order $\log N$. These two length scales, $x_1$ and $x_0$, are independent: their ratio $x_1/x_0$ is large for small $N$ and small for large $N$. Explicit solutions to the NLIEs are obtained numerically for these limiting cases, though intermediate cases ($x_1/x_0 \sim 1$) present computational challenges. This work lays the foundation for studying finite-size corrections and conformal properties of other integrable spin chains with non-diagonal boundaries, opening new avenues for exploring boundary effects in quantum integrable systems.

• Higher-form anomalies and state-operator correspondence beyond conformal invariance

  We establish a state-operator correspondence for a class of non-conformal quantum field theories with continuous higher-form symmetries and a mixed anomaly. Such systems can always be realised as a relativistic superfluid. The symmetry structure induces an infinite tower of conserved charges, which we construct explicitly. These charges satisfy an abelian current algebra with a central extension, generalising the familiar Kac–Moody algebras to higher dimensions. States and operators are organised into representations of this algebra, enabling a direct correspondence. We demonstrate the correspondence explicitly in free examples by performing the Euclidean path integral on a $d$-dimensional ball, with local operators inserted in the origin, and matching to energy eigenstates on $S^{d-1}$ obtained by canonical quantisation. Interestingly, in the absence of conformal invariance, the empty path integral prepares a squeezed vacuum rather than the true ground state.

• Out-of-equilibrium dynamical properties of Bose-Einstein condensates in a ramped up weak disorder

  We theoretically study how the superfluid and condensate deformation of a weakly interacting ultracold Bose gas evolve during the ramp-up of an external weak disorder potential. Both resulting deformations turn out to consist of two distinct contributions, namely a reversible equilibrium one, already predicted by Huang and Meng in 1992, and a nonequilibrium dynamical one, whose magnitude depends on the details of the ramping protocol. For the specific case of the exponential ramp-up protocol, we are able to derive analytical time-dependent expressions for the above quantities. After a sufficiently long time, a steady state emerges that is generically out of equilibrium. We take the first step in investigating its properties by studying its relaxation dynamics. In addition, we analyze the two-time correlation function and elucidate its relation to the equilibrium and the dynamical part of the condensate deformation.

• Some rigorous results on symmetry breakings in gauge QFT

  The extraordinary success of the Standard Model asks for a more rigorous control beyond the perturbative approach, which is affected by mathematical problems (interaction picture and canonical quantization, non-covergence of the perturbative series, triviality results for $\phi^4$ model and related models, etc.). We shall briefly discuss some non-perturbative results concerning the crucial role and realization of symmetry breakings in the Standard Model.

• Prospects for diffractive dijet photoproduction at the EIC

  We discuss the prospects of diffractive dijet photoproduction at the EIC to distinguish different fits of diffractive proton PDFs, different schemes of factorization breaking, to determine diffractive nuclear PDFs and pion PDFs from leading neutron production.

• Spacetime symmetry-enriched SymTFT: From LSM anomalies to modulated symmetries and beyond

  We extend the Symmetry Topological Field Theory (SymTFT) framework beyond internal symmetries by including geometric data that encode spacetime symmetries. Concretely, we enrich the SymTFT of an internal symmetry by spacetime symmetries and study the resulting symmetry-enriched topological (SET) order, which captures the interplay between the spacetime and internal symmetries. We illustrate the framework by focusing on symmetries in ${1+1}$D. To this end, we first analyze how gapped boundaries of ${2+1}$D SETs affect the enriching symmetry, and apply this within the SymTFT framework to gauging and detecting anomalies of the ${1+1}$D symmetry, as well as to classifying ${1+1}$D symmetry-enriched phases. We then consider quantum spin chains and explicitly construct the SymTFTs for three prototypical spacetime symmetries: lattice translations, spatial reflections, and time reversal. For lattice translations, the interplay with internal symmetries is encoded in the SymTFT by translations permuting anyons, which causes the continuum description of the SymTFT to be a foliated field theory. Using this, we elucidate the relation between Lieb-Schultz-Mattis (LSM) anomalies and modulated symmetries and classify modulated symmetry-protected topological (SPT) phases. For reflection and time-reversal symmetries, the interplay can additionally be encoded by symmetry fractionalization data in the SymTFT, and we identify mixed anomalies and study gauging for such examples.

• Measurements of $W$ and $Z/γ^*$ cross sections and their ratios in $pp$ collisions at STAR

  While the unpolarized parton distribution functions of the valence quarks ($d$ and $u$) are well determined from DIS experiments, the sea quark counterparts, $\bar{d}$ and $\bar{u}$, are much less constrained, in particular, near the valence region. Measurements of $W^+/W^-$ production ratio in $pp$ collider experiments, such as the STAR experiment at RHIC, can probe the $\bar{d}/\bar{u}$ ratio at a large $Q^2$ set by the $W$ mass. These proceedings will discuss recent results of $W$ and $Z$ cross-section measurements using the STAR $pp$ collision data at a center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s} = 500/510\;\mathrm{GeV}$ collected in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2017.
