• Phenomenological XXZ model for the competition between superconductivity and charge order in cuprates

  We argue that there is a special doping point in the phase diagram of cuprates, such that the condensation of holes into a charge-ordered and a superconducting phase are degenerate in energy but with an energy barrier in between. We present Monte Carlo simulations of a phenomenological XXZ model for this problem without and with quenched disorder in two dimensions. While in the clean case charge order and superconductivity are separated by a first-order line which is nearly independent of temperature, in the presence of quenched disorder charge order is fragmented into domains separated by superconducting filaments reminiscent of the supersolid behaviour in $^4$He. Assuming weak interlayer couplings, the resulting phase diagram of the three-dimensional system is in good agreement with the experiments.

• Investigations of the few-nucleon systems within the LENPIC project

  Results presented in this contribution are obtained within the Low Energy Nuclear Physics International Collaboration (LENPIC). LENPIC aims to develop chiral nucleon-nucleon and many-nucleon interactions complete through at least the fourth order in the chiral expansion. These interactions will be used together with consistently derived current operators to solve the structure and reactions of light and medium-mass nuclei including electroweak processes. In this contribution the current status of the chiral nuclear forces and current operators will be briefly discussed. A special role played by the calculations of nucleon-deuteron scattering will be explained.

• Nodal-antinodal dichotomy from anisotropic quantum critical continua in holographic models

  We demonstrate that the absence of stable quasiparticle excitations on parts of the Fermi surface, similar to the "nodal-antinodal dichotomy" in underdoped cuprate superconductors, can be reproduced in models of strongly correlated electrons defined via a holographic dual. We show analytically that the anisotropy of the quantum critical continuum, which is a feature of these models, may lead to washing out the quasiparticle peak in one direction while leaving it intact in the perpendicular one. The effect relies on the qualitatively different scaling of the self-energy in different directions. Using the explicit example of the anisotropic Q-lattice model, we demonstrate how this effect emerges due to specific features of the near horizon geometry of the black hole in the dual description.

• On the R-matrix realization of quantum loop algebras

  We consider $\rm R$-matrix realization of the quantum deformations of the loop algebras $\tilde{\mathfrak{g}}$ corresponding to non-exceptional affine Lie algebras of type $\widehat{\mathfrak{g}}=A^{(1)}_{N-1}$, $B^{(1)}_n$, $C^{(1)}_n$, $D^{(1)}_n$, $A^{(2)}_{N-1}$. For each $U_q(\tilde{\mathfrak{g}})$ we investigate the commutation relations between Gauss coordinates of the fundamental $\mathbb{L}$-operators using embedding of the smaller algebra into bigger one. The new realization of these algebras in terms of the currents is given. The relations between all off-diagonal Gauss coordinates and certain projections from the ordered products of the currents are presented. These relations are important in applications to the quantum integrable models.

• Generalized Carter constant for quadrupolar test bodies in Kerr spacetime

  We establish the existence of a deformation of the usual Carter constant which is conserved along the motion in a fixed Kerr background of a spinning test body possessing the spin-induced quadrupole coupling of a black hole. The conservation holds perturbatively up to second order in the test body's spin. This constant of motion is obtained through the explicit resolution of the conservation constraint equations, employing covariant algebraic and differential relations amongst covariant building blocks of the Kerr background. For generic spin-induced quadrupole couplings, which describe compact objects such as neutron stars, we obtain a no-go result on the existence of such a conserved quantity.

• From magnetic order to valence-change crossover in EuPd$_2$(Si$_{1-x}$Ge$_x$)$_2$ using He-gas pressure

  We present results of magnetic susceptibility and thermal expansion measurements performed on high-quality single crystals of EuPd$_2$(Si$_{1-x}$Ge$_x$)$_2$ for 0 $\leq x \leq$ 0.2 and temperatures 2 K $\leq T \leq$ 300 K. Data were taken at ambient pressure and finite He-gas pressure $p$ $\leq$ 0.5 GPa. For $x = 0$ and ambient pressure we observe a pronounced valence-change crossover centred around $T'_V$ $\approx$ 160 K with a non-magnetic ground state. This valence-change crossover is characterized by an extraordinarily strong pressure dependence of d$T'_V$ /d$p$ = (80 $\pm 10)$ K/GPa. We observe a shift of $T'_V$ to lower temperatures with increasing Ge-concentration, reaching $T'_V$ $\approx$ 90 K for $x = 0.1$, while still showing a non-magnetic ground state. Remarkably, on further increasing $x$ to 0.2 we find a stable Eu$^{(2+\delta)+}$ valence with long-range antiferromagnetic order below $T_N$ = (47.5 $\pm$ 0.1) K, reflecting a close competition between two energy scales in this system. In fact, by the application of hydrostatic pressure as small as 0.1 GPa, the ground state of this system can be changed from long-range antiferromagnetic order for $p$ $<$ 0.1 GPa to an intermediate-valence state for $p$ $\geq$ 0.1 GPa.

  We present version 2.2 of the High Energy Jets (HEJ) Monte Carlo event generator for hadronic scattering processes at high energies. The new version adds support for two further processes of central phenomenological interest, namely the production of a W boson pair with equal charge together with two or more jets and the production of a Higgs boson with at least one jet. Furthermore, a new prediction for charged lepton pair production with high jet multiplicities is provided in the high-energy limit. The accuracy of HEJ 2.2 can be increased further through an enhanced interface to standard predictions based on conventional perturbation theory. We describe all improvements and provide extensive usage examples. HEJ 2.2 can be obtained from https://hej.hepforge.org.

• Global symmetry and conformal bootstrap in the two-dimensional $Q$-state Potts model

  The Potts conformal field theory is an analytic continuation in the central charge of conformal field theory describing the critical two-dimensional $Q$-state Potts model. Four-point functions of the Potts conformal field theory are dictated by two constraints: the crossing-symmetry equation and $S_Q$ symmetry. We numerically solve the crossing-symmetry equation for several four-point functions of the Potts conformal field theory for $Q\in\mathbb{C}$. In all examples, we find crossing-symmetry solutions that are consistent with $S_Q$ symmetry of the Potts conformal field theory. In particular, we have determined their numbers of crossing-symmetry solutions, their exact spectra, and a few corresponding fusion rules. In contrast to our results for the $O(n)$ model, in most of examples, there are extra crossing-symmetry solutions whose interpretations are still unknown.

• Probing muon g-2 at a future muon collider

  The $4.2\sigma$ discrepancy in the $(g-2)$ of the muon provides a hint that may indicate that physics beyond the standard model is at play. A multi-TeV scale muon collider provides a natural testing ground for this physics. In this paper, we discuss the potential to probe the BSM parameter space that is consistent with solving the $(g-2)_{\mu}$ discrepancy in the language of the SMEFT, utilizing the statistical power provided by fitting event rates collected running at multiple energies. Our results indicate the importance of including interference between the BSM and the SM amplitudes, and illustrates how a muon collider running at a handful of lower energies and with less total collected luminosity can better significantly constrain the space of relevant SMEFT coefficients than would be possible for a single high energy run.
