• Functional renormalization group approach for signal detection

  This review paper utilizes renormalization group techniques for signal detection in nearly continuous positive spectra. We emphasize the universal aspects of the analogue field-theory approach. The primary objective is to present an extended self-consistent construction of the analogue effective field-theory framework for data, which can be interpreted as a maximum entropy model. In particular, we leverage universality arguments to justify the $\mathbb{Z}_2$ symmetry of the classical action, highlighting the existence of both a large-scale (local) regime and a small-scale (nonlocal) regime. Secondly, in relation to noise models, we observe the universal relationship between phase transitions and symmetry breaking near the detection threshold. Finally, we address the challenge of defining the covariance matrix for tensor-like data. Based on the cutting graph prescription, we note the superiority of definitions that rely on complete graphs of large size for data analysis.

• Group invariants for Feynman diagrams

  It is well-known that the symmetry group of a Feynman diagram can give important information on possible strategies for its evaluation, and the mathematical objects that will be involved. Motivated by ongoing work on multi-loop multi-photon amplitudes in quantum electrodynamics, here I will discuss the usefulness of introducing a polynomial basis of invariants of the symmetry group of a diagram in Feynman-Schwinger parameter space.

• Mechanical work extraction from an error-prone active dynamic Szilard engine

  Isothermal information engines operate by extracting net work from a single heat bath through measurement and feedback control. In this work, we analyze a {realistic} active Szilard engine operating on a single self-propelled particle by means of steric interaction with an externally controlled mechanical element. In particular, we provide a comprehensive study of how finite measurement accuracy affects the engine's work and power output, as well as the cost of operation. Having established the existence of non-trivial optima for work and power output, we study the dependence of their loci on the measurement error parameters and identify conditions for their positivity under one-shot and cyclic engine operation. We also demonstrate that a suitably defined efficiency of information-to-work conversion, which at equilibrium is bounded above by unity as a consequence of Landauer's principle, may here be made arbitrarily large by increasing the active Péclet number of the particle. Equivalently, for such a nonequilibrium efficiency to remain bounded above by unity, the athermal motion of the bath particles needs to be accounted for explicitly. Notably, the information efficiency for one-shot operation exhibits a discontinuous transition and a non-monotonic dependence on the measurement precision. Finally, we show that cyclic operation improves information efficiency by harvesting residual mutual information between successive measurements.

• Spin degrees of freedom incorporated in conformal group: Introduction of an intrinsic momentum operator

  Considering spin degrees of freedom incorporated in the conformal generators, we introduce an intrinsic momentum operator $\pi_\mu$, which is feasible for the Bhabha wave equation. If a physical state $\psi_{ph}$ for spin s is annihilated by the $\pi_\mu$, the degree of $\psi_{ph}$, deg $\psi_{ph}$, should equal twice the spin degrees of freedom, $2 ( 2 s + 1)$ for a massive particle, where the multiplicity $2$ indicates the chirality. The relation deg $\psi_{ph}$ = 2(2s+1) holds in the representation $R_5$ (s,s), irreducible representation of the Lorentz group in five dimensions.

• Sifting composite from elementary models at FCCee and CePC

  New Physics models with either an elementary or composite origin are often associated with a similar imprint in a direct search at colliders, case in point being the production of a light pseudoscalar in association with a monochromatic photon from the decay of a Z boson at future $e+e-$ colliders. We exploit the correlation between the discovery of a signal in the Z decays and electroweak precision measurements as a tool to distinguish a composite model from an elementary scalar one. Our results offer an appealing and rich physics case for future colliders and demonstrate how a lepton collider at the Z mass can be a discovery machine for new physics in the Higgs sector.

• Relativistic kinematics in flat and curved space-times

  Almost immediately after the seminal papers of Poincaré (1905,1906) and Einstein (1905) on special relativity, wherein Poincaré established the full covariance of the Maxwell-Lorentz equations under the scale-extended Poincaré group and Einstein explained the Lorentz transformation using his assumption that the one-way speed of light in vacuo is constant and the same for all inertial observers (Einstein's second postulate), attempts were made to get at the Lorentz transformations from basic properties of space and time but avoiding Einstein's second postulate. Various such approaches usually involve general consequences of the relativity principle, such as a group structure to the set of all admissible inertial transformations and also assumptions about causality and/or homogeneity of space-time combined with isotropy of space. The first such attempt is usually attributed to von Ignatowsky in 1911. It was followed shortly thereafter by a paper of Frank and Rothe published in the same year. Since then, papers have continued to be written on the subject even up to the present. We elaborate on some of the results of such papers paying special attention to a 1968 paper of Bacri and Lévy-Leblond where possible kinematical groups include the de Sitter and anti-de Sitter groups and lead to special relativity in de Sitter and anti-de Sitter spaces.

• Growth of the Wang-Casati-Prosen counter in an integrable billiard

  This work is motivated by an article by Wang, Casati, and Prosen [Phys. Rev. E vol. 89, 042918 (2014)] devoted to a study of ergodicity in two-dimensional irrational right-triangular billiards. Numerical results presented there suggest that these billiards are generally not ergodic. However, they become ergodic when the billiard angle is equal to $\pi/2$ times a Liouvillian irrational, morally a class of irrational numbers which are well approximated by rationals. In particular, Wang et al. study a special integer counter that reflects the irrational contribution to the velocity orientation; they conjecture that this counter is localized in the generic case, but grows in the Liouvillian case. We propose a generalization of the Wang-Casati-Prosen counter: this generalization allows to include rational billiards into consideration. We show that in the case of a $45°\!\!:\!45°\!\!:\!90°$ billiard, the counter grows indefinitely, consistent with the Liouvillian scenario suggested by Wang et al.

• Annual modulation of dark matter signals: Experimental results and new ideas

  Direct detection experiments searching for the scattering of dark matter particles off nuclei expect an annual modulation in their event rate. In this presentation, I will review the theoretical predictions and the experimental status of the search for annual modulations, with a focus on ongoing and planned experiments using NaI detectors. In particular, I will discuss the interpretation of the DAMA signal and related model-building efforts.

• Response functions and cross sections for inclusive neutrino scattering off $^2$H, $^3$H and $^3$He

  For several decades there has been an interest in studying neutrino scattering on light nuclei, with the hope of increasing knowledge about the theory of weak interactions and electroweak unification. A study of several neutrino induced reactions on light nuclei ($^2$H, $^3$H and $^3$He) is presented here. The cross section for these reactions is evaluated using the nuclear response functions, which holds the information about the nuclear interactions and structure. This approach has been tested for break-up reactions on the deuteron before and is now extended to three-nucleon break-up reactions.

• Time-dependent Schwinger boson mean-field theory of supermagnonic propagation in 2D antiferromagnets

  Understanding the speed limits for the propagation of magnons is of key importance for the development of ultrafast spintronics and magnonics. Recently, it was predicted that in 2D antiferromagnets, spin correlations can propagate faster than the highest magnon velocity. Here we gain deeper understanding of this supermagnonic effect based on time-dependent Schwinger boson mean-field theory. We find that the supermagnonic effect is determined by the competition between propagating magnons and a localized quasi-bound state, which is tunable by lattice coordination and quantum spin value $S$, suggesting a new scenario to enhance magnon propagation.
